Worst time. But after another 4 months it will be much more easy. She will be glued in front of a screen watching kids video clips... Here is one that she will like even now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9MhPQLmBUE Official: https://www.youtube.com/user/bebelillyfrance
And ruin his ears! Don't put them loud! - Who doesn't have family issues! -At least little George (5 1/2 years old) plays StarCraft and wife won't complain about Dune 2000 sounds.
Let me disagree. You could smooth the edges of existing sprites. Besides the infantry is not static. You could do a lot. OK I lack the skills for the latter-it would require he skills of a master artist.
Nice progress here! :) I think you should better get rid of the horrible Windoze title bar for a more Dune2k styled experience. Added that the maximize button is disabled so displaying it serves no purpose. (Going fullscreen, might be a nice option too.) We are playing a game after all. ;-)
Thanks for providing a technical and accurate definition of the term. I wrote: as if. But I should write 'MOD' instead of MOD. So I edited my post to correct my error. Indeed game behavior isn't altered. But 'gameplay' is affected, not game wise but (abusing the term once again) player wise. ;-)
OK I am not a programmer but I think it is ridiculous for code to 'mix' with display (graphics). Then you get all those bugs. They should be separate. Imagine if those games were properly coded how easy it would be to use better graphics or even 3D now that the hardware supports it.
When everyone uses the cheat version it is as if you are playing a MOD. And here we have a 'MOD' that removes stuff from the game. I haven't used it, but I have to agree with you-it ruins the game.
Maybe a graphics card issue? Either damaged or because compatibility has been sacrificed by the manufacturer. :-( At least try running: 1. In Puppy Linux with Wine (Puppy Linux runs from CD). 2. In a virtual machine. 3. With these files copied to the Dune2K directory (Dune2K directory SHOULD NOT be inside "Programs Files"): aqrit.cfg, ddraw.dll (ddraw wrapper: http://bitpatch.com/)
I have been burned multiple time with brand names: IBM and HP/Compac too! At least mine were second hand given for free. Always go for a BTO (Build to Order). Brands always deviate from standards to brag that they do it better than their competitors and so gone is compatibility. Better to pay less and damage more quickly and buy another one than pay more and have many issues and also often not be able to add extra hardware because it won't work as it is not compatible.
