What are Emperor players coming to these days?

I start my room up on quicmacth settings and this guy comes in and starts argueing. Dude says these setts are for iodtic newbs and suck. I mentioned the simple fact that THE SETS MADE GODS. He just argued and argued until I had to kick him...

So I go into this other game get this.......Knife fight nothing selected on 30k...I mean really people..

The only thing I don't like about 30k games is it is always a game of who can point and click the fastest to amass the strongest army, whether it's a rushing army or a turtle army its always point ad click the fastest. Where as if you find sets that create an even playing field i.e. QM Sets then you rely more on skills e.g. defending and building your spice supply and making you army at the same time.

My suggestion:

Give him what he wants as long as:

No crates

No Pre-Built if he is using Guild

No units if he is Harkonnen

Remember, the pre-built and units are good if you have Guild or Harkonnen

Second, you rush him, and you win.

Once, I beat a newbie and he thought that I was a hacker!!!

It is very easy to beat newbies. If you beat a n00b, you are very very happy. It is very easy to beat a person like the ones you are describing with 30k.

Gnerals dies,people come back.

Hopefully EA could make a clan system where it would recognize your e-mail and allow you to have only 1 nick in a clan per e-mail.

But then people would just make fake e-mails........

I must admit,I'm sort of happy that all he good emperor players are,"gone"(No offense to anybody)because I recently discovered that you can connect with a 56k.

Now I can finally win!(I never have,BTW,except against AI)

No, it's not Generals. Empy was dead long befor Generals came out. IT was more a combination of War3, too many unfixable bugs (like the carry-all thing), and Renegade/YR. :'(

Actually, even before generals came out i saw just as much people online as 8 months ago :P

There are not many EBFD players left simply because they are only playing generals now.

Here's an old thread for you to look at regarding settings: Emperor Game room etiquette.

I really don't like settings along the following lines:

Pre-built on

Living world on

Superweapons on

Fog of war on

>20k

Depending on the combination, I could be found playing with some of these settings on, however most of the time I'll probably just leave before the game begins and look for more desirable settings, or make my own room with my own settings. :)

I like nothing 5k,NOTHING ON AT ALL,on a no-spice map and it will make u bankrupt for a while till u get yr 'salary' ;D

I like something like this on draconis coastline.

Living World on

No units

No prebuilt

Crates on/off, it doesn't matter

No superweapons

No fog (Duh. Does anyone use fog? It's such a stupic concept.)

My fave maps are KF and the first one (because I know it soooo well from CR testing. ;))

Living world works best on Worm Garden......strangely!
