NetWerx1
The Niab is the easiest to promote. Before u know it, they're already at lv3! 8). It takes 2 shots to kill a mino, it is fast and can avoid most missiles. The Ix Projector tank comes in next, but it really isn't all that different from a lv0 projector. What do u think guys? Timenn
I prefer to use the other function of the projector then shooting.I've made a list btw with all info about units getting what with a new levelIt must be somewhere down the list
ken124578
Just a little OT, but worms give alot of experience, a chemical trooper gains a new chevron each time it shoots on a shai hulud (i found this while playing the first mission of the ordos campaign)
Navaros
It's hard to promote units in Emperor because the experience is split based on which unit delivers the killing shot. So one NIAB may be relatively easily to promote in the early game, but no one *has* NIABS in the early game because if you get them early vs. any good player, you're dead. No question about it.In the late game, NIABS and every other unit is very hard to promote because you are gonna always have to fight with masses of units and there is no way to control which units of that mass gets the killing shot in. So the experience is spread over almost every unit in the mass rather than going to one or two who you want to level-up.It is a very stupid experience system in Emperor. This system results in very few units ever leveling up, and only once in a blue moon is it possible to get a level 3 unit for this very reason. It would have been way better if experience was either spread evenly over all attacking units, or went to one unit at a time until it is level 3, then went to another unit etc. There are lots of ways the experience system could have been meaningful, but as it now stands, getting veterans in online Emperor games is mostly a useless gameplay feature because it's next-to impossible to do. lowzeewee
actually the buzzsaw is not gaining chevrons when it cut troops, they just used the SAW feature as a gimmick......to make pple think that it is a new feature from WW......if a sandbike could crush too,it will also be the same.Easiest to gain chevrons is devos
Apollyon
actually I think minos have the easiest time. I mean group of unsuspecting infantry plus mino = loads of corpses and loads of experience for the mino. Once the mino is level 1 its armour gets massively increased (needs 3 missile tank volleys to kill at full health) and at level 2 its even more increased. XCH
When I play against the computer I like to leave one or two units outside the computer's barracks and let them get promoted.

Get a group of 5 Niabs and unleash havoc among the minos. The kindjal might get a shot off or two, but u won't lose more than 1 Niab. If ur opponent isn't atr, 5 Niabs promote like mad...Next to impossible to get veterans???One fremen fed kill one assault tank-fremen lv1Mino kill a horde of troops(15)-mino lv2Ordos chem troopers rush base in very early game- some chem troopers lv1 to lv2Niab tanks, when lv1 only need two exp points to get to lv 2...just kill a chem trooper
