Many people like the Gunship over the ornithropter and the gunship is better overall but the ornithropter is good against enemies who use long range weapons against your base defenses like if Harkonnen is using missle tanks and Ordos is using Kobras, that way you allways have a use for them even if you don't use them to attack.

I would rather build airdrones which are IMO more uesfull then ornithopters.

Ornithopters if given the time can do the same damage to a building like the gunship, they fire more then 4 missiles, but weaker.

But fast and not slow as Gunship and his missiles!

Orni useful against airdron, fast vehicles, carryall.

and also it's can be repaired by Vehicle-Repairer while it landed at ground.

Repairing cost alot of time, and space to temporarily land your Ornithopters.

You can better build new Ornithopters. And repair only the heavy damaged Thopters

Ornithopters automatically go to their landingpad when all their ammo is used.

The Ornithropter is the only atreides air units able to attack ground units...to make them remotely useful is to build more than 10 of them...otherwise when 1 or 2 orni attacks a kobra, the enemy has more than enough time to move anti air in

Well I'd have to disagree with the most of u because ive been playing this game for a year and a half now and i know that ornis are good units. Especially nowdays because noone expects them. if u build a bunch of ornis you can take out air drones because they are so fast. U can get niabs and minos,bases,inkvines etc... and u can make some drones too and kill some carrials while u kill shit with your ornis. Infact, i think that they're better than gunships because gunships are too slow,loud and they take forever to shoot. If they get far away from their landing pads its almost gauranteed theyre dead because drones outrun them.

Someone should post a sticky topic titled ,"Ornis really are good, just some stupid noobs dont have enough skill to use them"

well i think they are more than competent, and i use them a lot, hell i'm even relying my attacks on them quite often. More so than those slow ass gunships

At lest they have more shots than gunships. I didn`t use them often but know I started playing with them.

Yes i once made one, i lost them all, i know that a gunship rush would've survived that.
