THEY are the ones who offer that amount of money. And I doubt there will be anyone who would refuse a paycheck of 100,000 pounds per week
lowzeewee Posted January 17, 2003 Author Posted January 17, 2003 Yes...Good comment.....who wouldnt want 100k pounds a WEEK,but i mean paying them so much is really crazy
Nyarlathotep Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 but i mean paying them so much is really crazyYes. It's absurd what players earn these days. And because of that, they all get to full of themselfs. But it isn't just in soccer. Just look at the major league baseball, or basketball.
Caid Ivik Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 Some people earn nothing and can live freely and fully.
Andrew Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 yeah but these athletes work for about 10 years and make more than 200 average income people in one year. I guess it all has to do with supply and demand.
Dunenewt Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 Leeds will get them selves out of the problemshttp://www.lufc.com
Terror Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 yes, they do get overpaid. I do think however that they should make more money per year than the average man, cuz when the soccerplayer becomes too old, he will be fired and that will be when they're around 30 years old.

nampigai Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 that remninds me Dick Turpin is on rerun on our TV2 Zulureg. the salary for football player, I think we could learn something from the american. We should set a roof on salaries, this is madness
Timenn Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 It is really unfair. I agree with you. There should be a maximum loan.
Dante Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 Football (Soccer to you non-Brits) is a stupid sport anyway. I simply cannot see what interest can be derived from watching two teams kick a glorified pig's bladder around a field. Playing it now, that I could understand (although personally I hate that too). But the players make so much money because people watch it, and that's...not very clever.Make the damn sport illegal again, that's what I say.
Terror Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 well, but same should be done for movie stars.. like i read in some thing...Tom Cruise doesn't step out of his bed for less than 40 million dollars per movie

Timenn Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 Come on, we don't want an aesthetical discussion about soccer
nemafakei Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 "some pple only earn 800 pounds a week, and they?100,000 pounds"Some people earn less than 10p/wk."Football (Soccer to you non-Brits) is a stupid sport anyway. Terror Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 yes, it's popular... and if it's popular, people are willing to spend huge amounts of money on that... it is rediculous though that player DEMAND so much money... i wouldn't give a penny for their lives
VigilVirus Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 Sport players, Movie stars, other celebrities should have much less of a salary, because their value is limited to entertainment of the public (clowning around ::)). IMO the salary should depend on the importance of the job as well as talent.
Terror Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 hmmm entertainment is a necessity also.. it does not work like that...
Nyarlathotep Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 Zeeman? who's Zeeman?Zeeman I don't know. Seaman however is the goalie from Arsenal (the 3rd club on the world ranking). I believe his age is 38.
lowzeewee Posted January 18, 2003 Author Posted January 18, 2003 yes indeed all celebrities, sportsmen simply get too much.....
