Dude_Doc
Not of their own, the ones who are hunting them. Imagine what gangwars would be if lions could manage armour and guns hehe...
Acriku
Some animals kill others just because they were walking on their territory. How's that for sport?
Inoculator9
That's pretty similar to what humans do.
Sardauker-Kirov
If we're ever going to fight against Aliens, and "if" we could win against the aliens. We won't stand a chance against them anyway, if the humans continue to kill and oppose their own brothers.
Inoculator9
Although some scifi and theorists think that an outside threat like aliens would unite us. I don't think so, we would just be too untrusting.
katnip03
And humans don't, Acriku?
Sardauker-Kirov
Aliens would treat us like animals. Just like a human would do against a lion, the chance is very high the human will shoot the lion.Hopefully those aliens will abduct Bush and make him the president of..... watchacallit. ;D
Inoculator9
I don't think anyone would be particularly surprised if Bush woke up one night screaming they probed me.

Inoculator9
And making the Department of Probing. Here's a scenario, "Hello, were from DOP, were here to probe you."
Acriku
And humans don't, Acriku? That wasn't my point. My point was that animals can be just as harsh in principle, not in method.
undsputed
Well, as most of you who I have played online probably know, I'm from the DC metro area (in PG county where the teen was shot and right next to Montgomery and D.C.). As a matter of fact, there has been a new shooting reported as of 10:00 Saturday night. It is very likely they will link this shooting (so far, the victim is still alive) to the sniper. I think the police here are doing a very good job. The PG police and D.C. police deal with shooting all the time. Montgomery county is relatively safer (until now). But, there efforts at QUICK roadblocks and searches are great. I think they will catch him soon...unless he stops now.

Acriku
And there is always a reason humans make wars. Why humans kill eachother. Why humans torture eachother. Animals do just that, but at a more basic scale. Their minds cannot go beyond killing for survival. Although there are exceptions, like tearing a fellow predator to pieces to get him away from the food that you will eat, then leave alone with more than enough to fill the now-dead predator. Also a dolphin does the dirty for pleasure. For pleasure! Naughty flipper! Naughty!

emprworm
looks like the sniper struck again. but the guy lived this time, thankfully. none of his shots have missed, and now 3 ppl have survived.
SurlyPIG
What's the word on the latest victim's condition? There goes the significance of his 9/11 killed/shot record...
Acriku
You know this guy doesn't have to be an expert at all. With a scope and gun it doesn't take a full-badged boy scout to aim and shoot, and being only a few hundred meters it's even easier. Officers today can shoot 1000 meters easily without a scope. SurlyPIG
A kilometre? Without a scope? I doubt it. It'd take me a good 4-5 minutes to RUN a kilometre, and I'm pretty fit.
Inoculator9
I'm beginning to see the possibility of him just stopping. But knowing he didn't kill those three people may incite him to do more. But the more he does the more likely it is he will be caught.
Acriku
No seriously, trained snipers can shoot 1000 meters without a scope. That have to, to be a good sniper.

ken124578
He said that really good snipers can hit an target from 1000 kilometres away, without their scope.

Dude_Doc
I think you mean 1000 meters on plain grassland, not in some forrest. And even that is hard, your eye must be like one in a million, if not better. Besides that, the target must be a relatively big one, say, at least human-size. I would doubt anyone on this planet could shoot a toothstick from 1000 meters, on a plain.
