Offcourse, you can make the sabouteur teleport, and when it dies, blow up, that works, and it actualyl better then the normal. Maybe to powerful.

Right, I eventually got it to work fine with the Elite Sardaukar's laser rather than the laser tank's. I have also found a new problem; I can MODIFY anything I want except size, like chaning weapons, armour, etc. But should try to create something new, a new unit for example, or a bullet, Emperor goes into lockdown and won't even start up. I know what you're going to say, that I didn't declare it, or didn't give it a xaf. I did, I tried the Emerald Dustie as a more powerful Dust Scout with the Dust Scout's xaf and I declared it in the right section. It didn't work.

And what's the deal with size? I try to make a tiny size 1 Spider Scout just to see if I can and noooo!

This problem has also prevented me from inventing a bullet like a mechanical version of the leech, turning a machine into, say, another Spider Scout. I declare it, but it refuses to work. Dammit.

Hmmm, let's see

If you make a new unit:

The best thing to do is to copy an existing one, and change the name

Make all modifications and declarations (of bullets/turrets etc.)

Give it a unique name

Edit the ArtIni.txt

Add this unit with a valid xaf, icon etc.

Add the new bullets with their graphics

That's all I can say. Modding Emperor is a hell

I don't know about the size. But it looks very hardcoded stuff to me (don't touch it!)

A leech-type of bullet will only turn units into leeches. And also here is many hardcoded stuff related to... :(

the size is to identify the size of the model. If the size is set lower than the actual size of them model then things will be able to pass thru various parts of the model itself.

changing the size causes the game to crash. instead use Ardian's XBF viewer to change the meshes and make them smaller.

I had a look around... where do I get it?

to add a new unit, you have to put the unit "ini name" in a top register, just search for a existing unit/weapon you want to copy, copy it and then paste it below with the new name, do this until you have made a dublication of evenrything with that name

and so: Edit it!
