I think it's a difficult task to unite the Ordos warriors for a longer period of time, becaue it is well known by everyone, that "The Ordos are mercenaries, they care for nothing. Save power and wealth..." etc...

You can unite your people by different ways. You wrote down some good ideas about it, but you forgot to mention the power of _FEAR_ !!!

It is one of the most important thing if you want to follow the Harkonnen way.

How to unite a nation.

Be a good leader, a building is blown up by terrorists.  DO NOT run to a bunker.  Go and help for a few hours to dig out people.  In fornt of national television of course.

Reduce taxes a little, people like something for nothing.

Declare more holidays.  People like days off, it reduces stress.

Show your people what is right and wrong.  Be a good moral example and if you MUST have sex with an intern, don't get caught.

I understand how Ordos stick together BUT Harkos - no way how can they kill each other and still serve the fat dude who'd kill them if in bad mood  ::)?

The Baron knows how to do it:

-attack a village on Giedi Prime with your soldiers

-take the young boys and men

-give them wealth and women and let them turn against their own folk

-etc.

Harkonnen must stick together, cos all spaceships are Baron`s. They can of course run on guild highliner, but its cost too much and then baron would know they wanted escape.  :)

Or maybe they wait for this, when no fat guy rule Giedi Prime ;)

Yeah, You're right. Lets get back on the Topic, Like i mentiond before. The Harkonnen would be much more powerfull if they all worked as a team like the Atreides. (Without killing their own comrads for fun :) ) If they achieve that, they can be the most powerfull house. I think.

The problem with Harkonnens is that they are cocky, dependant, and greedy.

      The Harkonnens are pretty efficient the way they are, because no one wants to be spotted as inefficient or (help them Shai Hulud) rebellious.

Why all the harko guys remain loyal to their Baron - They can easily kill him and overtake the leadership...

Or all people of Giedi prime are blood thirsty like the baron himsel... ( But it can't be because the villagers hate their baron)... Still don't understand how the harkonnen unite :-/
