anyone here agrees that the Ordos Music in Emperor is dismal?

Your right, the Atreidies and Harkonnen music is much better, especially Assembling the Troops and Tribute to Evil.

There are exceptions... The Strategist and Ordos control are better than the rest. The others are largely tuneless - just arranged noise.

I have made my own Ordos music, and its waaayyyy cooler than Hark or Atr music... ;D ;D

i thought atreides was the worst. it was just too ambient and not like actual songs to me. ordos and harkonnen gave me that nice c&c feeling.

The Harkonnen music is by far the best. Especially 'Victory is inevitable' and 'War for the spice'. Atreides are excellent, but Ordos are fairly average I have to admit. I wouldn't say the Ordos music is just arranged noise however. It does have some sort of a beat to it.

Yeah, you could manually change the music yourself i remember one site said, but i forgot how.

dismal, abysmal, horrendous, terrible, unholy, noise pollution... the ordos music is indeed all these things and so much more

much of the ordos voice acting is just as unbelievably-bad as the music

I like the harkonnen music the most, the music suits the house very well. Tribute to Evil is a cool song, but I like Victory is Inevitable the most. EVIL!

I don't like the Ordos music, but it suits House Ordos. Kinda spooky music. Insidious!

If you remember the music that Frank Klepacki made in the Atreides music in Dune 2000, then you can hear some similarity in the Atreides music for Emperor Battle for Dune in some of the tracks. ;)

You can even hear dune2 music in Assasination attempt. and the whole song is practically taken from d2k. D2k have similartities with dune2 in almost every song.
