Edric I'm sorry to be so optimist (strange to say cause it's really not my nature - I'm more realistic).

But if Westwood received during 1 year in each week email from fan of Emperor I'm sure Emperor 2 will be build.

But sure if just me who do nothing will pass. I need help and I need people who believe in something: WILL

If you get 1 million people to email them, then I'm sure they'll see a huge cash cow and make Emperor 2.

But we can barely get a few HUNDRED to email WW!

hmmm i'm not so sure about that. westwood declared that there is very little chance that they will make another dune game and to be honest i estimate the chances to be even smaller. Fans may be our only option

Sigh... Really... I watched this Dune film yesterday (the original one) etc etc.. And again when I saw those harverters, fedayakins and so on I was amazed. I mean WW did a great job with emperor, they modelled ships and vehicles, they had (imo) good actors in those briefings etc. If they waste so much time on Emperor... I just can't get it, why in the hell they can't listen to us?! Fans! We are the ones that buy their products. Hell, I remember how excited I was when I heard about Emperor for the first time! If they truely LOVE their work and want that others will give respect to it, then they have to do like Blizzard. Support their games.

Some may thin that this post is useless, ok. I have sayed this opinion once before and so on... Well.. I want to share a little memory with all of you. When I was 11 years old I saw C&C. I was impressed by everything that it was... And I thought that Westwood makes great games, great CGI graphics and so on. I remember when I was 13... I were arguing with my friend about which company is better, WW or Blizzard.. I always defended WW as good as I was able. But now.. I became aware of this relation of ww, and it astonished me. How thay can do this?! Why they aren't listening? Is it our fault? I don't really know is any here intrested in my memories about ww and stuff like it... But this is the only place where even someone can understand me one way or another... And I still believe that someday WW will be one of the best companies. I'm sure about it, everytime I look on my all C&C games...

After Red Alert: Aftermath, because Tiberian Sun was released under EA thingie...

As far as im concerned emperor died a while ago (well the qm and bc ladders).

I dont know how people can even think about buying generals when u know what ww is gonna do...I mean Ra2 has been abandoned also..and their "new" game renegade i played and watched it being dumped like the rest (renegade stopped being patched and the ladders have been screwed for months).

Agreed 100%. Emperor's future is on a shelf...with all the other games westwood abandons as soon as they have a new project. I'll stick to my WarCraft3, thank you very much :)

I don't think Emperor is dead but I think they are a lot of pessimist person.

Well I suppose it's for that people like see bad news on TV.

hey believe me. it was not my desission. I would like to say that emperor is still alive and running but it feels to me like dune2k is the last stronghold for emperor. Westwood has definetly abandoned it and there are not too many emperor players.

what is the fate of every game out there? alas so is the fate of Emp... it may be still kicking now (just because were gathered round the dead horse flogging it) one day it will be dead for good.... what will happen when they take it of the WOL servers :O :-

If you think Emperor is dead why you continue to play this game ?

Go and play Unreal, Quake, Red Alert, General, etc

But I stay here cause I love this game.

I know I'm alone :'(

because its the best RTS game out there :P thats why... i dont care that its dead, and im proud to admit i help beat the dead horse consantly ;D

i'm here because i like this forum. the game may be great and i may return to it once in a while but the feeling that I put a dead rotting rat in my DVD drive just makes me sad
