IxianMace Posted October 16, 2002 Share Posted October 16, 2002 Well the speed of the missiles does matter actually, because normal carryalls are one of the fastest units in the game. A slight difference in missile speed could mean the difference between catching a carryall with a harvester while it is retreating back to base, or just having the missiles lag behind the carryall that is outrunning them.Try this: Position a Missile Tank between an enemy base and a spice field that the enemy is harvesting at. Any carryalls with harvesters that are travelling from the spice field back to base should get shot down, provided that the Missile Tank is facing towards the carryall to begin with. Now try the same thing with AA troopers or Troopers. They will fail to kill the carryall unless the carryall lands close by (i.e. the AA troopers/Troopers are standing close the the spice field), simply because the missiles couldn't catch the carryall quickly enough to damage it.
