argh punk-pop-rap music. gross! lol

Gotta agree there, but punk is better by itself, and punk pop is just plain cheese.

In my opinion the best punk bands are:

Rancid

Pennywise

mxpx

Greenday

NoFx

The Undead

Well, The UNdead consist of 2 of the original misfits, being Bobby Steele and Joey Image.

Greenday are kind of punk, the only reason I said that was because Greenday usually play venues with punk bands.

omigosh! Like, Briteny Spears, people like that, you know.

JK!

I love LInkin Park because they are the only rock band I can think off that doesn't swear.

I also love Cristian groups like Avalon, Rebecca St. James, Plus One, and FFH.

oh my goodness. i was suckered into a Rebecca St. James concert a few years ago. It cost $30 (30! WTF???) to see her "Christian Concert" and the ONLY thing she did for 3/4 of the whole time was SOLICIT FOR HER CHILD SPONSORING COMPANY! Holy crap! I was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo disguted after that show. She spent maybe half an hour singing songs, and at least one and a half soliciting!

im sorry that you got sucked into a solicitation nav, but i can say that i have never experianced a concert like that. and im sorry but i dont see 3/4 of the time 1 and hlaf hours) being spent tlaking about her company and half and hour singing... according to you she would sing a song then spend the next 20 mins soliciting and so-on and get a total of maybe 6 - 8 songs.... maybe you might want to check your numbers again.... remember 95% of the community didnt agree to have FOW and LW off ;D

Hmm, sorry about that Nav. :(

Don't kill me when I tell you she spent only a small period of time talking about her Child Sponsoring Company and most of the time singing when I went to see her in concert.

Those numbers are TOTALLY right. If you don't believe me go read some reviews from Rebecca St James concerts (do they even get reviews?) or better yet ask anyone in the world who has been to one of her concerts.

She solicited for AT LEAST 1.5 hours and sang for no more than half of an hour. And charges $30 per head which is much more than it would cost to see a REAL BAND who spends NO time soliciting.

What she does at the start is: she says, "Now i'm gonna take questions from the audidence". Then a guy with the Mic runs around to people in the audience who ask her questions while she sits on the stage and does nothing. No matter *what* the question is, she ALWAYS adds something like: "and thanks to the love and blessings of God I was able to sponsor a child in that country and now their whole family is prospering - I encourage every one of you to do the same! { and do it through my company, and tonight - before you leave this Church! } We have people in the gymnasium (she does her concerts in Churches to *really* milk her poor naive audience ::) ) ready to help you sponsor a child {through my company, of course! } tonight. "

And she doesn't do that for just *one* question, either. She does it for almost *every* question she is asked. And on top of that, she gives *additional* lectures about sponsoring a child through her company *all* throughout the "concert" even when no one is asking her anything!

I promise you I am not making a word of this up or exaggerating in the least bit. I am a hardcore Christian and I would be very reluctant to slam any Christian influence on pop culture without having VERY good reason to.

Rebecca St James is a Pharisee and a crook of the worst kind.

well ordos45 said she didnt at the concert he saw.

but giving u the benifit of the doubt if she did do that it makes me think of the song...

"Is this one for the people... Is this one for the Lord... or do I simply serenade for things I must afford."
