Gobalopper
Just a reminder to forum goers to check your system for this virus. I was getting a lot of emails that just had "Re:" in the subject line, probably close to 25 now and just realized that it is caused by the sender having the Badtrans virus. So you may want to check the link below for details if you use Outlook Express and opened weird attachments in the last while.http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.badtrans.b@mm.htmlLast time around with the sircam virus it was a pain in the arse downloading huge attachments, especially for Mahdi as it completely screwed up his account, luckily this one doesn't seem as bad but it's still annoying. :)

Gobalopper
If you are getting email with Re: as the subject it means the person sending you the email has the virus not the other way around.
hilamobster13
OH! isee...... so i don't have to have the program in order to recieve the 50= emails. okay!!! thanks again! :)
Mahdi
While the subject changes each time for this virus, the text always remains the same, which makes it real easy to detect:Hi! How are you?I send you this file in order to have your adviceSee you later. Thanks

quoudam72
I have not received anything (yet) from this Ricardo and anyway who is this person? How are we linked to him besides FED2K. Is it (or could it be) someone who has been banned in the past?
nemafakei
Or one of those who never post to Fed2k, but have one of the hunderds of usernames with 0 posts in their count.
hilamobster13
o well, at least we are deleting them. gob doesnt have time to check all the profiles for this ricardo fellow, so we'll just have to live with it.
Mahdi
The name of the person or people sending it changes in nearly every e-mail. Â The only thing that remains the same is the text.
hilamobster13
actually, viruses like that tend to keep the same sender when done by an inexperienced hacker. i should know. i have lots of hacker friends. how many of you have seen the movie hackers? nemafakei
What I mean is that people don't choose to send you the virus.
