Nav, there's a reason why I did only the top ten. It's quite simple.

Elite and shelshock, no it's on time. Before westwood went all pissy and stopped supporting their games, the rules stated that each tournament was from 12:00 noon on the first day of the month until 12:00 noon on the last day of the month. Today, (June 30, 2002) is the last day of the month and I took the standings at Las Vegas time (where WW headquarters is located) 12:00. Before doing this I synced my computer's clock through the internet to the atomic clock in Boulder, Colerado. Trust me, I've been meticulous.

I know what you're thinking, and yes, there is a day of inactivity before the ladders are reset in the new month. From 12:00pm June 30 until 12:00pm July 1, the ladders are operable, but dont mean anything.

Marcel, I dont even want to touch the clan ladder. It's no longer fairly competitive, it's a farce. So many people play for more than one clan, so many games are washed, and there are too many fixed games to count anymore.

I'll likely "retire" from this game now. I like to end on a high note, and having finished the month in 1st place hark along side my 1st place atreides clan mate is high enough for me.

Thx ace. Also i said top tem simply because if you look at the top ten from each, and the points that go with those names its sad. If it was top 30, or 50 it would be every one who played emperor. There has to be some sense of acheivement associated with the winners list.

Also for the people who think its a day early look at your calender, june has 30 days.

A couple of notes...

For anyone who didn't already know, I was hopnhoopr this month.

Also, the only person that I had to exclude from the winners list was viet1987. He successfully d/c cheated me (hopnhoopr), cyrenius, and s0naxus this month. Very one sided game statistics were analyzed, plus screenshots confirmed his disconnection.

Thekdude also has the nick Ketanb on the QM Ladder right now. That's multinick cheating, why is he on the Winners List? The stats are still there, go check them right now if you don't believe me.

Same with Jedigovno/Marcel71. He also multinick cheated this month. Go check the stats. Why is his name in the Winners List? ::)

The names marcel71 and ketanb aren't in the top ten for any house. How would you expect me to know? I cant possibly cross-reference 744 nicknames (which is the precise number of players/nicknames in the ladder this month). Besides, both players played barely 4 games with their secondary nick, so it isnt exactly like a tonne of damage was done.

Also, it was on a technicality that I didn't exclude thekdude for d/c cheating freerunz.

When i realized and i wanted to do some serious practising i did 2 or 3 more games with marcel71 but decided NOT to win with that (It's the fault off all those noobs who were ducking me when i was Jedigovno).

I played 2 with Jedigovno against abvsall and LOST twice!!

Then i played empperor and i was in his base etc. and was clearly winnning, but because i was playing with Marcel i decided to lose....

Further i played owlowl, and he must have had the strangest game of his life. But he won ;), so had ce1969.

So if u stop ducking, i can play normally.... :P

From what I *can* conclude from this, not only do you admit to purposely multinick cheating, but you also admit to playing fixed games.

heres just an idea. and it would probally only work in the community here, since not every one on QM ladder comes here... but what if you only made up ur winners list composed of the ppl that have been playing since the first week of the month. Why include ppl that only played the last 3 or 4 days to mass mounds of points to eiter bump themselves up under another name or to just run a muck in the ladders. I dont kjno whow well this would hold up... but think about it really unless u kust got the game what is another legitamte reason for starting to play qm on the last week of the month, same goes fot BCs too... seems like its just ppl trying to run amuck by multi nicking and multi claning too. but then again that would just mean more work/reseacrh and Im not about to voulenteer anyone so I guess never mind ;D I am happy with list as is at least its being continued since WW cant. I just hate to see tehe ladders get messed up cause ppl decide to start using multi nicks and clans half way thru the month already :P ::) ;D

heh well done xvayne again + u other guys, i remem checkin stats mid month and newbaros was 1st atr, was getting a bit worried but gj he didnt come top 3 :), i decided not to play cause i feel by winning month 1st of with rank 1 outright, then defending my crown month after is worthy enuff 4 me 2 think i made some impact on emperor and wouldnt be called 1 off month win 4 me or wotever, i played a few games this month, but simply there just werent the games, or ppl ducked, btw who was every1 with their new names ?

yep the clan ladder is a joke and isnt really worth bothering about. and in my opinion qm is getting the same way now.

well done 2 the winners (u must have spent alot of time waiting for matches and that is something im not willing 2 do anymore).

qm has got worse as the months went on...with so few players it really has become a joke (and most of these few qm players duck). whats still 2 play for? Beat up on newbs for a month and win a title on a dead game.

iv won 1st place hark 4 times-->November, feburary, april and may. Should have been more if it werent for cheaters. The first 2 titles were good 2 win because i had 2 beat many good players along the way...but in these past few months it all seems like a waste of time.

I dont think the ladder is full of noobs. There are mainy top players in the ladder. If i remember correct didnt you lose to a couple who you also didnt beat in a rematch.

No not full of noobs, but there is their share mixed in amng the ppl tha tonly play once (maybe they are noobs too), then the ppl the play only the first few weeks and never again to loe points, then there are those that start mid to late month to just mess the standings up (I dont believe these ppl to be noobs ;D just BooBs), dont forget about the multi-nickers (who may very well be classifed with those that play for first week only and mid to last week only :P ::) again more BooBs ;D) and once u reach thend of the list I think there are about 100 - 150 regulars that play all the time and ar not noobs but novice and above. (but some of theese ppl may have multi nickes to make them above novice). I like QM and i hate it when u go and check ur stats to see you just lost points to a guy that stared playing o n the last week just so he fudge up the rankings... If any of those ppl are on the winners list or are here reading and a lil mad cause they didnt winn enuff in first week to upset the others with their mutil nick in the last... just humor me if you will... if u can muster up enuff testicular fortitude to stick with one nick for QM for the next month then we can see what these list really look like. But like that would ever happen ;D i guess in some small way they get their jollys off knowing they deviously roshamboed their way to top. ;D

But again I would like to thank the ppl that put these list together... if it werent for ppl like these and Doc Nyar continuing tech support on a game WW has long ago forgoten, and Gob letting WW use his site for linking (or rather I saw replacing)the Emperor Forums, this dead horse would have less ppl to beat it. This i sa great game by far, and am glad so many ppl from community are helping to keep the pulse alive... err at least kicking ;D Great job guys! "Ya Hya Chouhada"

Good job, Ace. You sure you don't want to hang on for another month and try to be number one Atreides? That would be number one for you with each house.
