Gruntlord6
It seems that the main forum for Dune 2000 has become a huge outlet for mod developers to showcase their work, both before and after they submit it to be published on D2K+. I am very proud of how far this community has come since I started here, but with this pride comes the feeling that we need to make some changes in the way the forum is run from an organizational standpoint. I feel that having the mods mixed with the original game content will cause new members (who make up a majority of the site traffic) to be confused. It also makes it hard to sort through content posted. With all the tools, strategies and game discussion that go on in the forum in addition to the mods that are being posted about, I find that the mod related posts are bumping all the other discussions off the list until they sink away, which shouldn't happen when the primary focus of the forum is general discussion about the game. So here is my proposal for you guys to discuss, perhaps we should make a new section similar to the existing Strategy and Support sections, titled "Mod Discussion". The new section would be the place to go for everything related to changing the main game, from the D2K+ toolkit to works in progress. General purpose posts that happen to relate to modding would still be allowed in the main section, but specific modding topics would go in the new one. So what do you guys think? At the end of the day you guys are the ones doing the bulk of the browsing and posting, so we should discuss the future of the forum and approach the moderators if we feel change is in order.

Gobalopper
The Dune Editing board was created for that exact reason. It is located right below the Dune 2000 board.

Its your call though, your forum.
D2k Sardaukar
The Dune Editing board was created for that exact reason. It is located right below the Dune 2000 board.I thought it was for Dune and Dune 2 games.
mvi
It would be nice to have a separate section for Dune 2000 modding, rather than have it all bundled in together since modding Dune 2 has little to no relevance to modding Dune 2000 and it's frustrating seeing an interesting topic title then realising it's for a different game.
Feda
Also dune2k modding community seems bigger so yeah, a section for dune2k would be great.

Most (recent) topics in the section have [Dune2000] in the title if they are relevant to the respective game.

MrFlibble
I'm experimenting with the topic prefix option in the Dune Editing section right now, and it seems to work fine. Topic prefixes are generated from topic tags, more info here. Hopefully this comes as an agreeable solution.
