Khan
I just found it odd that you query the eating of baby-animal related food. Suckling pig is gorgeous.

Khan
It's a piglet that's taken away from the sow before it has a chance to suckle (drink milk). So nice.
Kirby Gotenks absorbed
How can someone KILL a baby animal! :( :O
Dante
With a machine, usually. Less effort, less personal that way. And it's supposed to be less mess, but in reality there can be quite a bit of splatter.
Kirby Gotenks absorbed
I wouldn't feel different if I killed a baby-animal with a machine, it's still killing it on purpose, so I don't think it's less personal.
Dante
Think of it this way. It's the difference between phyiscally restraining a frantic animal, listening to its plaintive cries for help all the while, holding it still and feeling its heart beat fearfully beneath your hands, taking the knife in your hand and raising it high, watching the ignorant terror mount in the eyes of a helpless baby creature, and then plunging the blade down into warm, succulent flesh... and pressing a button to do it all for you.See? Much less personal.
MrFlibble
Vegetables, chicken, fish, etc.Don't you have any problems with chicken and fish being killed, cooked and eaten?
Kirby Gotenks absorbed
Sort of, I once wanted to become a vegetarian, but my mother said that the protein in meat is... well... important?
Dante
Which is true, but it is possible to live on plants (or more accurately, non-animals) and still get a proper diet. You just need to find protein elsewhere, like in quorn. It requires careful observation though.I have vegetarian friends who check websites to ensure that they don't eat animal products. That's not just meat, but extracts of meat or even non-meat products that harm animals in some way. Personally I think it's too much work, and enjoy my steak. Kirby Gotenks absorbed
To be honest, meat does taste quite nice.I think peanuts have protein in them, I know you can get protein from a vegetable based diet, but it's hard to do that for certain reasons. Vanguard3000
I think peanuts have protein in them...They do, but they don't scream when you bite into them. It's just not the same...
MrFlibble
They do, but they don't scream when you bite into them.Cooked chicken also doesn't so what's the difference. Besides, it's not crunchy :D
