hey guys... what do you think about a more detailed member page on dune2k?

the "what do you look like" topic is so damn long now and I don't want to scroll all 53 pages to look up someone's picture he once posted just to take a short look at him. don't get me wrong, the thread is cool for discussion, but I think a detailed memberpage would be great. I think about the possibility to upload a picture so other members can see what you look like very easily by clicking on you profile (if you uploaded a pic...)

I think there could be some more improvements with the profile then. I think of something like this:

(not an up to date page and it also doesn't display everything you can set to display like icq, msn ... - link is just suggested to show you what I mean, not to show you what it should look like).

It's not that bad idea, altough it's use would be minimal, as this forum is too much international, so I doubt there'll be any larger off-line session  :-

the intention is mainly that all those people from the big thread who posted pictures of themselves are able to upload a picture an add it to their profile. so everyone can easily take a look if he's interested what the other people he is talking to look like and doesn't have to go through all those pages.

the other features are just kind of a side effect. I just wanted to suggest more than just the picture thing.

instead of going to the whole topic, why not use the "search" option to just pick out all users post in that topic ?

huh? I tried the search option but it only got me lots of threads. I didn't see an option to pick out user x's posts in one specific topic.

nevertheless... picture upload in the member profile would be a great deal  :)
