Maybe it's cool to know some funny stories of people who still play now online or known people  ;D

Lemme start with one...

-How the newbs found eachother-

Februari 2001: I and ecodude created SoW, we started playing very many battleclan matches. But we were very newb!  :) We won 0 lost 8. The 9th match i faced ords in a bc match (i didn't know him yet). My settings of that time: 30k / knife fight, strategy: Ix projecters. And yes, i managed to get the first win of the clan against ords, and minuts later i asked him to join, so he did!  :) Since then we're clanmates, we were like the worst players possible that period  ;D

Well I have a funny one. My first game online I was supposed to team up with someone. I had no idea how to ally. They finally talked me through the teaming up process, but by than I was dead. Not exactly the makings for rookie of the year. :D

one of the best and funniest games i ever saw was a game with the g*y jeff. dont remember if it was a 1vs1 or a 2vs2, but i was fighting him. it was a closed battle and he lost. i thought it and he thought it. i have beaten him, but had not that much more units. he thought that he lost, said gg and started to sell all his buildings and that gave him a lot of inf with a few sards in it. well. he overrun the surprised kalony with all his inf, killed my base and won the game...lol

        One funny game back in the day that i had was when i was playing a 2v2. and my base was blown to shit so i went to my allyies and built in there . So I said yo i'll be back in a little bit , and i go out to dinner for like 45 minutes and there still playing like completly surrounded on our base still fighting lol.

Well, I do have one funny one that comes to mind. It was when I first started playing EMP online. It was  a team game, with Appolyon and I on one team, and I forget who we were against. I was VERY nervous because I thought if I screwed up no one would want to play with me again, and I really didn't know anything about BO's or micro's, I just pretty much sucked. And if that wasn't bad enough, the map was Knife Fight.  I remember the last thing Appol. said to me before the game started was "BE AGGRESIVE". Yeah, Right!!

Then the game started. Well Appol. did all the hard work, and was getting double teamed. I didn't even know it, because I didn't have the map scouted. So I built some units and I tried to get them to attack one of the enemy bases in a group. Well my first 'Puter was slow and I didn't know about Lag.

So I click on them, and they aren't going anywhere, lol.  So I'm sitting there cursing at the at the screen. Well my wife hears me cursing and comes into the room and looks at the screen. I point at the screen and yell "THEIR NOT F*****G MOVING!!"  Well she looks at the screen and says "awww, what's the matter honey? Are all your little Klingons on strike? Hahahahaha". and walks away.

Well I couldn't let it go at that! So as she is walking away I yell "Ha, just goes to show what you know! They're Atreides!" 

P.S. By this time one of our enemy is dead, although I didn't know it, and the other is fighting Appol. So I just walk my Geese in the other guys base and attack some refineries. I remember Appol. Typing "Looks like someone is having money troubles" LOL, as he is killing them. Well I think, "hell this isn't hard" and I decide to go to the other corner and see what I can kill. I get to the rock and- surprise! no one there! So I type What happened to him? and Appol goes "I allready killed him" LOL. Not exactly a stellar Debut.

well kalony look like ure the mister unfinished games i remeber at xwis the same senario happend when i blow out all of ure funny ordos  buildings then i was giving my sards the C commaned(for cheearring) back at my base while u were moaning in silence just when i saw those 10  freemen fed  blowing my ungarded base

so i asked u were the hell did u get those u told me they were at the corner of ure base and u didnt see them befor lol(now that is funny) then the comedy continue because i maneged to kill his 10 kamakazy freemen after they left me with only 2 sard buildinds and a bar  but hey i keept chearing b/c kalony didnt have anything eals exept  3  rusty  dust scout so  i was like telling him gg kalony and that it was over but he keep running with those dustyes just out side my base  so i told him lets just re

but he said no and that he wanted to finish the game then he keept runnuing around with those 3 dustyes

and killing my inf untill the 3 dutyes got ranked  well i was running out of spice and i was tierd after he went around fisher for like hours i realy wanted to retreat but  i was near killing those dustyes.

well after like a very  long time dunno haw mutch he won. he had no base just those 3 dustyes and a bunch

of losr feds  hehehhe

I had a freaky game not too long ago with guns and another player, ffa. Well I went random for my house and got atr, which I dont like much. Guns was hark, and managed to kill off the third player, and I chipped in too...

So I was left with a small map, a hark player, and some of my minos. I marched to his base, he marched to mine, and he killed my base, I killed his. So great, hes now got mobile units and I got moving buildings ! (minos !!!).

Well, after waiting to get attacked and finish him off, we realised a chase would be needed. So he cirled the small map, and I chased in slo-mo using about 4-5 minos and some inf.

In the end, I split up army, putting a mino at each choke point, but basically it was more or less stale mate (technically I won, cos he lost his units, but he could have run forever if he tried, me thinks).

Now that was a strange game for me. I never had a stale mate. IT wasnt like normal fast units left over, where you can make a fast unit in ure building to take them out, as I had no buildings in which to produce (I might have done trikes or something...).

Yea watch out for jeffs inf at the end of games that he seems to have lost. He tends to follow his remaing harvs with those inf from selling. While your units are shooting the harvs his inf overrun you. Or at least try to. ;D

It wasn't puddle of mud. It was an inkvine patch.

My first game was weird. I was playing Atreides, and had no idea how powerful the Minotaurus was then... many years back. I focused a lot on helping my ally, without noticing the ARMY of sardaukar attacking my base. I later sought refuge at his base with some units and some ixian projectors, and was trying to create projections, though to no avail. Later, I went for dinner too, and when I came back... I was at the scores screen.

It was a 2-on-2 game on the infamous Knife Fight map and while my ally built up his base, I used my MCV to chase one of the opponent's MCV around to prevent him from deploying. I wonder what took him to long to deploy - Even when I reached his rock he was still moving his MCV around... After a stressing and endurance-destroying minute, he got out on the open to try to get to the other fresh building rock and I guess he forgot we had the Sandworms option 'Living World' toggled on. :D

mine was agaisnt mephisto when the game just came out. I was used to playing Total Annihaltion which has alot slower build time. i dont know how to place building or anything. im struggling as atr and the next thig i see is all my buildings are Blowing UP.  he ixed BOMB the Sh!t outa me.

another cool thing.. is how that i met brennq

begin 2001:

-> I started playing qm, after a few months I wanted to be #1 belgium, what usually worked. I only had a little difficulty with brennq and sometimes with smoke1990. But we weren't that good at all, #1 belgium was like #60 or #70 worldwide. With other words, aswell me and brennq weren't that good, but I already knew him, just of the competition of #1 BE.

begin 2002:

-> This time I used to play a lot of clanmatches. A time I faced bruly47 of the -666- clan, he was a good player but nothing special, somewhat the same skills as me. I learned to know him pretty well, and he seemed to be brennq. I was a little suprised because I had forgotten him for a long time and it was a whole time since I heard from him, it was cool to see him as a kinda advanced player.

mid 2002:

-> Aswell me as brennq quit emperor to play Warcraft III together, brennq didn't like the game and started to play emperor again after 10 days or something. I continued with warcraft.

after a long time:

-> I came back to emperor, and i heard that brennq was a legend. I was like  :O ;D  :D

I mean, it isn't that special, but it's funny to see a player that you know for about 3 years growing up from a newb till one of the greatest emperor players in history

what a waste. they had a good story but the game wsnt that great. and that isnt a funny story

I didnt like the idea that the hero became evil.

Emp has always been the game I have wanted to play, or dune 2 or some other decent strat game.

I wouldn't mind Dune 2 if not for the interface. It really puts me off. That's what you'll hear from anyone from the Tiberian Dawn era or later.
