The crowns aren't seperate, I don't think. The monarch of Britain is technically monarch of Australia as well, among other places.

Canada does indeed have its own crown.  As I said, I am not positive about Australia, but I think it is seperate too.

The Australians I know about. They voted to keep the British Monarchy as official head of state.

...?

Your point being?

British monarch is still our head of state too, but because she was crown queen of Canada, not because she was crowned queen of England.

Nice.  The History Channel just aired a special on the true King of England (as Edward the 3rd was not really Richards son, but the son of some archer).  They traced the geneology down to a regular joe living in the Australian outback who had no idea about this (he knew of his royal ancestry, even ahd a family tree, but did not know that, blood-wise, he is the legitamate king of england) and, ironically, is a republican.

All loyal subjects of the British crown must take up arms to re-instate the rightful king to the throne! For glory! For honour! For king... ummm... what was his name, anyway?

Thought present royal family was of german desent not french, at the end of the day he won't be the first royal to remarry divorce or play away from home. A monarch is a figure head only these days so good luck to him and let him get on with it i say. ;)
