Dunesday anniversary today. A part of FED2k History.

Note:  This is being posted in General as the thread is about FED2k in general, not Dune.

Wednesday will be the third anniversary of Dunesday, the single greatest moment in FED2k history (IMHO).

I think I put more work into that one event than any other project I've ever done.  Months of preperation, organization, and just plain luck brought it all together.  Definately the highlight of my time here.

Never repeated, due to the fact that it could never be topped, and any attempt to do so would probably result in mere disapointment and the gradual disintegration of that momentous day.

For those of you who have joined the site since Dunesday, here's a chance for you to learn about one of our greatest moments.  For those of you who attended it, here's a chance to stroll down memory lane with your old pal Mahdi.

that was an awesome time, it was like a bazaar or a festival. Is there any way to try doing it again? even if it isnt as special? lets try doing one next year.

Think a couple of you are confused:  This thread isn't about the next one.  I'm not doing another one.  It's to much work even when there is plenty of Dune related projects and news, which sure isn't the case nowadays.

Mahdi, you actually deserves some credit for Dunesday. I remember I had the entire day of, I remember the DG interviews (and the Guild wars that roamed later on)

Mahdi, allthough I don't really want to say it, you did a good job.

yeah you are right mahdi, more stuff was happening at the time, and there was a lot of excitement for Dune, more than nowadays actually. Its a shame really. Like Ordos, I was not trying to make this thread into starting an new dunesday, just a nice suggestion, sheesh grumpy parrot hunter. hehe

It was a blast, we had interviews, lots of news, neat sidelines and contests. It really was like some extravaganza. those were the good old days, even though it wasent that long ago really.lol
