U.S. Tried to Develop 'Sex Bomb'

Why was it abandoned? Seems like an interesting enough non-harmful way of winning a battle. And of course the blackmail potential would be incredible. ;D

I think that the Geneva Convention would, at least in spirit, cover it.

You mean for being cruel and unusual (or something), or because it would technically be a chemical weapon?

...Come to think of it, the Geneva Convention wouldn't exactly prove a hinderance to the US, would it?

veK, see GEOD.

"...Come to think of it, the Geneva Convention wouldn't exactly prove a hinderance to the US, would it?"

True.

But there's excess violence which they can claim to their public is justified because they're the enemy, and there's making them patently nonviolent - which means that doing anything to the subsequently is very difficult to justify.

Oh, and I think some elements in the US would have an ethical problem with encouraging homosexuality. Sticking to carpet bombing is much better.

Oh the punnage...at least they never carried through.  I can imagine the headline "Bush launches decapitation strike, Baghdad engaged in rampant sex thanks to secret weapon". :O

A nation of suicides more like. The effect would be temporary and when coming round I imagine a lot of people would think that their masculinity was broken beyond repair. Silly people.

Temporary? I thought the effect was lasting. That fact makes the bomb a bit more human - I mean, it would be rather harsh to turn men into gays for forever. It would be inhuman to modify a human that greatly.

However you're right, suicide rates would get rather high. Or people sacrificing themselves in a battle.

... but what if there are women in the enemy army?  :P
