try to find a song

hey, i ve a stupid question.

we r searching for a song, wich came out right before the millenium. we dont know, if it was a european or us track, and we dont even know how the band or the project was called.

but it was kind of a rock song, and the lyrics in the chorus were shouted something like that:

"there will never be a party like it`s/in 1999"

we dont know, if we remember those words realy correctly, but it has sound a litlle like this.

do any1 remember that song? can any1 tell me something bout it?

there is a song i have heard before that is rock and has something about a party in 1989, unfortunately i can not remember who it is by and exactly how it goes, i will keep searching.  are you sure it was 1999? or could it have been 1989?

i couldnt find a sound example for gary numans 1999, but i have listen to some other songs of him, and it was not that kind of music im looking for.....so gob, maybe he produced this song with other people? to make it a rock song?

It's not an exact quote. . although it's has been in the European Top 50 allover and seems a lot like it. . did you have a change to listen to it ?

hehe no, i just remember those few words. there could be an rap beat in it instead of real drums, i dont remember that (it could be a crossover song), but there were for sure rock guitars.
