In alphabetical order:

28 Days Later:  A great horror movie, I hadn't planned on picking it up but saw a copy on sale for $11 when it first came out, so I impulse bought it.

Braveheart:  One of my favourite movies of all time.  I had held out for a very long time hoping a special edition would materialize, but no dice.  Great movie, poor special features.

Donnie Darko:  Again, one of my favourite films and cost me only about $11.  A new directors cut is hitting theaters now, so there will be an inevitable speicla edition DVD.

Firefly:  The Complete Series:  I hate the ideea of buying TV shows on DVD.  It seems lke  astupid waste of money to me.  But, Firefly is one of my favourite shows ever with amazing characters, intellegent plots and super-sharp dialogue.  There were only thirteen episodes made so her eis only one set to buy, and there is absolutley no other way I can see this show, since I don't get any of the channels it repeats on and never will.  Plus, every DVD set purchased pushed Universal that much closer to greenlighting Serenity, and now it's being filmed!

Frank Herberts Dune: Special Edition:  Wow, those extra thirty minutes make a huge difference!  An all right miniseries turned into a very good and entertaining piece of work.  Definately worht the hefty price tag (which has not dropped once since it was originally released).  Lots of interesting special features.

Ghostbusters:  Collectors Edition:  As a child Iw as obsessed witht he Ghsotbusters, and even now those two movies are on my all time favourite list.  Only have the first yet though.  A bit disapointed in the special features.  A collectors edition with only one disc?  They could have found a lot more for it if they had looked hard enough.

M*A*S*H:  Not a favourite movie of mine, but a great one and one that had a major impact on film.  Not quite sure why I bought it, I saw it on sale and it was one of those movies you feel you should have, you know?  Massive number of special features on it.  Tot he guys behidn the Ghostbusters special edition:  Thsi is how it should be done.

Master and Commander:  The Far Side of the World:  Collectors Edition:  Another fantastic film that I never get tired of watching, this is the two disc set with the booklet and posters.  I bought this as a gift to myself with my training money back in April.  Great double feature with it and Pirates of the Carribean (which all my friends own, so I don't).

MI-5: Volume 1 (Originally titled Spooks):  Another TV show, but purchased because of similar reasons as Firefly.  I simply can not watch it any other way, and it is an amazing show.  It combines the style of American shows like 24 with the British focus on writing and plotting (iwht action being secondary) and filled with a real sense of danger because, unlike American shows, anything can and will happen.  If a character is placed in a position where they could die, well, they do.  The closest thing to this show in North America is 24, but even it doesn't have the balls to do what Spooks does.

X-men:  Great movie, got it for christmas as part of the X-Men collection.  Loaded with special features.

X2:  Not as great as the original, but still very entertaining and chock full of extras.

So, what do you all have?

What I have so far:

City of Lost Children:  A French film by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Marc Caro (who collaborated to make 'Delicatessen' earlier).  My favourite film.  It has an interesting steampunk atmosphere, great acting, great music, and has a really interesting way with colour.  An extremely well-done film.

M. Night Shyamalan's Signs:  One of my favourites.  This is actually my mom's, but it's all part of the same collection back at home, so I thought I'd include it.

Err... Actually, I think that's it.  I think we also have the Matrix 2.  Can't remember for sure, though.

My wish list:

Dark City:  Directed by Alex Proyas, and starring Kiefer Sutherland, William Hurt, Rufus Sewell, and Jennifer Connely - a great cast.  Very dark atmosphere.  My second favourite film.

Dune (the David Lunch special edition that just came out recently)

Starhunter:  My favourite TV series.  Two seasons - 46 episodes - of pure gold.  Dark.  Futuristic. great scripting and acting.  Too bad a DVD set doesn't exist.  But one can always hope for the best.
