whoa, my mom made me an easter basket with all my favorite candies, havent had one in awhile. It brought back all sorts of memories. Too bad we cant have a huge fed2k easter egg hunt. Of course its a bit childish, but thats what makes it fun. hehe

How is 'candies' any more wussy than 'sweets'.  It's all cutural.

And we could have an easter egg hunt, if all the respective board moderators edited egg images into random threads, and told people to find them.  But it's a bit late for that, and I personally am far too lazy.

Candies, that two syllabled word of weakness. Starting strong with a consonant like c, it soon reveals its girly nature, descending into the sibilant abyss of 'ies'.

Sweets, on the other hand, is a powerful, anglo-saxon battering ram of a word. Commencing with a cunning feint with that sibilance on the first letter, pushing the power slightly higher with the resultant w, then going all out in a short, sharp burst of hardcore t-age.

Yes, I've always thought of 'sweets' as a flying fist, whereas 'candies', sounds like the person taking the punch.
