This is a hypothetical situation (and it'lll remain hypothetical if WW keep their current attitude up).

Imagine WW were to redo emperor or make a big patch or something. What really needs changing? Other than support for Emperor, what things could WW do to perfect Emp?

Fix all the bugs, have lowwer sestom requirments, advietise, more leading missions, and fix the skechy graphs. Just naming some. >:(

They could probably do some more work on the engine, but it runs and loads pretty well on my computer (Athlon 650, 256 ram, 32mb Geforce2).

All in all, I think it's a damned good game, the Havesters could use some smarter AI (i.e. the Carryalls comming to "save" a beseiged harvester only to immediately plop it down a stone's throw away) ... the pathfinding could be better, or at least diffrent, it's all well and good for faster units to "find another way" but they should somehow make it so that you won't find Minos and Devastators wandering around aimlessly trying to get where you send them.

I like Emp, I don't think it needs much at all!  ;D

and, better threat assesment, but that would be an improvement in general.  I find it very frustrating to have large, powerful units firing on stupid lil infantry or something rather than the Mino that's merrily blowing them away unfazed.

The harvester AI is most definitely in need of a change. In TS, they had a ThreatAvoidCoefficient - which meant that harvestrs avoided enemies - but it seems not to be the case in Emp.

Make the worms faster.

Make shields drive worms crazy like they do in the books.

Make the Emperor Worm much stronger.

make the contaminator a long range infector.

Make if more realistic Ruins of tanks and mechs stay on the ground while bodies are buried in the sand....Bigger and meaner looking units for all sides

more potential for mod making (no limits? or higher)

and some other ones especially like guard, attack, stand ground that stuff. and except for the graphics and stuff you could do about 50% of the stuff in a mod, fine 25% fine something I didn't count

FIX THE PATHFINDING BUGS FOR ATREIDES! Dear god it's so annoying..... They really screwed Atreides with the fucking bugs and the orthinopter should be like 3 times more powerful (remember House Atreides dominates the air with these things supposivly) and make the campaign better and make the Sardaukar stronger and Fremen w/ more armor. Until next post, Vilgent.

yeah, if Gob can put me in touch with a WW guy who would promise to *read* the book I wrote for him about all of the bugs in Emperor; I'd make him a very, very heavy book
