Connection problems EBFD

As you all know, trying to connect a game now days is next to impossible. I have gone as far as to format my harddrive and reinstall Windows and Emperor only with no sucess in correcting the freezing problem on connection. I very much believe the problem must lie with the server at EA. I talked extensivly with a tech at EA today. He informed me that the server is still with them at this point and they have other games on that same server that function properly. EBFD is still on EA's list for support so maybe they can help. The tech at EA called me back a couple times for more info, so i think they are working on it. Maybe if more people show intrest in getting this problem fixed they may try harder to help us. Please call EA support and tell them the problems that you are experiencing.

If you read the thread lower down this section, EA technical support, you will find that people have already reported this to EA !

I talked to EA support again today, they assured me that thay are trying to correct the problem but need more input and information from other players.

Did you tell them that the PC's of players freeze up on the connecting screen, after all the players have clicked on Accept. ??

What exactly do EA want to know from other players, we are all having the same problem ! >:(

I have send a message and i sayd that after pressing play on the blue screen every1 freezes

I did explain to EA exactly what the freezing problem was. I think EA just wants to be sure that this same problem is happening to all players and no just me.

DUDE!!!! EA called me back just now, they said they are having trouble loading a multiplayer game also lol. They say they will fix it and call me as soon as they do. Keep your fingers crossed.

Did they say the problem was with the server? Or are they going to have to patch Emperor?

The tech at EA has not yet said that they know where the problem lies, but they are having the same freeze problem that we are. As soon as I hear about a solution, you will be the first to know.

I'd suggest that everyone follows cbrick04 advise. As soon as more and more people will complain, they quicker they might look into it. (it might show them that the game is still alive :))

I agree i think the more ppl that talk to EA the better, im calling them as soon as possible tell them that its not just 1 person that is having the problem, hope u all do the same. ;)

I talked to EA again today LOL. They gave me a phone # for WOL hehehehehehe. The direct # for WOL support is -(650)628-4319 opt. 5 then opt 4. It appears that WOL is still in operation as part of EA now. They tell me that the problem is server related, as thay have same problems that we are experiencing. They again assure me that they are working on the problem, but dont expect it to be fixed until next week, possibly wed.

of next week. Please call and bug them if you can, show them that we care !!!!!! ;) TY for calling senda what did they tell you?

What I don't get, is that if they don't know the cause of the problem, how can they say when they will have fixed it ? :O

Don't worry about it, I think EA knows that alot of it's gamers are under 18. If I were you I would still call them.

For large game firms like EA, you have more buying potential than say older players.

They don't bite, well at least I don't think so. ::)

WOL has informed me that they are working on a patch for Emperor and it will be available on EA's website as soon as its done. They said just keep checking their site, should be available next week. :) Please dont quit buggin them until it is done though, stay on their asses please. You know I will hehehehehehehe.

P.S. the patch should be available at www.eagames.com, but still no definate answer on ETA :(

A patch? really? thats a very good thing. maybe it will fix some bugs in the game and enhance multiplayer stuff. (or just redirect players to another server.)
