It seems that hip hop/rap/pop were the big winners again.

Metallica at the end was good, especially the Nirvana part. :)

Also did anyone notice the guy that ran up to the stage when snoop dog and adam sandler was there(at end of show)? I think he wasn't supposed to be and some guy took him away. It was funnny.

Could be but why do they still call them MTV "music" awards as MTV hardly ever shows "music videos" anymore. I have to say that I enjoyed Metallica performing better than their last few cds. It was just that I am was a little depressed because as I viewed the show it became more obvious of the state of North American pop music has sunk to a new low. It had it's good moments I agree.

i watched em, i sometimes watch mtv, and mtv2, but it has changed so much lately, even since last year. i like to watch comedy central more though, south park, man show, im with busey. i watch jackass every once in a while, but that's it. i think that mtv2 is more what mtv used to be. but i thought the mtv video music awards were only ok. i don't like rap and that's mostly what is on mtv now.

yeah, it is alright, but i think that doug stanhope is better than joe rogan, and adam corola and jimmy kemmel are better than both of them. i like the old seasons alot better.
