Not Emperor for sure, EA closed the clan manager.

well here is where any clan making possibilities should be listed.... but if you read you can see that you can't make any for their "older games"

Well I could do it by setting up a clan manager on this server that would look at the nicknames to find the clan. However it won't show up when you are playing and I don't know how clan games work on WOL... Can anyone play anyone in a BC game or does it make up the sides based on your clan? Can you play a BC game if you aren't in a clan currently?

We could just make BC games the same as 1vs1 where they would also work with custom matches that use the correct settings.

as far as i know

battle clan games are any settings....

only people in clans could play them...

as i am not in a clan i dont know if they can still be hosted...as i cant host them....

i think of the clan ladder like a shared ladder...

so if any1 in that clan lost a BC the clan would lose a piont or whatever

and if any1 wins a BC in that clan they would gain a piont

I think that half the fun of clans is in the end of name tag. Is there really no way to work that one out, Gob?

No because those name tags on the name come from WW/EA's server and they have shut off access to users.

well been a while since i have played a bc, but i think it automatically has teams based on clans.... and only a person in a clan can host a bc, and you can't run a game with odd clans... such as if there are 2 skums... an H_S_ member, and a FEW member in same room you can't start game..... but anyway

i just tried it, and the option to hos a battle clan match is still available if you you are in a clan...

the points for wining just go nowhere ;)

and i think you got more points if you beat a better clan... such as if you were in place 20 or 30 and you beat the clan in first... then you would probably be 10th place after

a BC game could never start unless all 4 players (or 2 players in a 1vs1 BC game) were in a clan.

btw, with the WOL clans a cool thing was that in the QM stats is had the name of your clan afterwards, here is an example from when viet1987 DC cheated me and i proved it on this board [ http://www.dune2k.com/forum/?board=7;action=display;threadid=996;start=msg20662#msg20662 ]

Gob, has anyone tried to get in touch with WOL and see if they would be willing to relinquish their clan managing software? At that point you or someone else would have to manage the software. But it may be within the realm of possibility. After all I'm sure they didn't just throw it away when they were done with it.

I'll admit to being in the dark on technical matters such as this. But does anyone know if this would even be possible?
