I know the cd has 700 Mb, but I want to know how to minimize the size of a file, so it can enter in a cd.

Can I burn DVDs with a normal cd writer??

You can try to burn it anyway.

A disk of 700 MB is actually somewhat larger then 700 MB. I don't know what the maximum is but try it anyway.

I can't guarentee that it works. But I did it a few times

daas overburn, geistesgestoorten der eire!!! bachen der boot!

err, it's called overburning. most burning programs have the option, but it can be bad for your burner.

ex, wal mart supercenter has dvd-rw drives for 49.99!! im gonna get one tomorrow!!

Y thingy is right. You can use overburn, i know it is on Nero burning rom anyway. Then you can add another 50 mb or so. So i think you can get 750 mb on one cd

Just give the order to burn the cd.

Put all stuff in, and you can see that it is larger then 700 MB. But then just give the order to burn, and maybe you'll get a warning, but you can ignore that.

Is a movie in .avi format of 714 Mb(713+MB). There is a way to transform it to a smaller format??

Compress it into a .zip file using WinZip.

if it's a movie, compressing it to zip will not work. i tried that before also. where i zipped a 724 mb movie into 723 mb (not a joke). If there are multiple files, it might work

Both movies and music do not compress well. Also something else doesn't but I forget. (maybe savegames?)
