how do i log onto XWIS?

HI ALLL at dune2k long time no see,

What do you all think or have most of you gone to Generals or other games since the B.C rankings have been shut down. Now adays you never see the *FEW* or DARK or any of the other clan members maybe one or 2 here or there but there never play like they use to What do you think

The sight was down for a few hours to get a fine tune but it is back up and running and there are some cool screen shots. All I have to do now is buy the game when the mod is finshed. ;D

I do not know navaors in any way. But not everyone is ment to be liked by everyone for what ever reason. Ok he might have been band many times and you think he could of have been able to learn by now. But if no one forgives and forget and trys and just say bygones be bygones, then it will never end. Top job man!!! :) Are any of the units and buildings going to be put on Atomcraft. At any time soon or only after the mod comes out? I will give a hand, if I learn enough in time to help that is.. ;D ;D ;D

They might have had 2 labs, one with all the info about the first terminator ,witch thay destoryed in terminator 2. Plus a back up lab somewhere else hidden where the other scientists that were involved in the construction of the primary lab, and might have even been part of the rebuilding of the frist chip. This is why they tryed covering one of the labs up, and giving the other one a company name,as a front incase anyone found out and when known of people might want to stop it by hacking and cracking or getting in by force. Incase of this thay had a backup lab ready there for the constuction of the first terminator so it to could keep on getting built. Where the terminator for this movie,( Terminator 3) was built! Or they could have sent another terminator from the future dimension of the 2 terminator too back up the liquid terminator and build a army starting in this time just incase the liquid terminator just could not pull off the job. Plus in the time of the terminators they could of sent 10 terminators too different time lines 2 hours apart and landing them in time lines 15 years apart. In this case the terminators could almost live for ever, and we coulds have 7 more terminator movies comming our way in time to come. :P :D Who is to say ???

*Do you think that the *.lgt file should be made a compulsory file in making mods now for emperor? * Say If this was made a compulsory file, and it had to be added before the mod is packed,would it take to longtime to get the mod right to put online for everyone to play? *Or do you think that they should make another link in dun2k editing, that has the mods containing this file *.lgt in them, with a rundown of the timmens modsweeper in there with the mods holding that file? Thanks again for that. I read the read me file you can still only use one mod at a time. It would be a good program if you don't play a different mods everyday. That certain file you were speaking of was called, *.lgt this will save you looking for it later because I know you made the (Emperor Mod) I used in my examples in the main discussion. It was a nice mod you made i had fun getting wiped by the A.I. in the game. hehe i will put my vote in for it soon for the mod. I have tryed your maps and put my votes in for that ;D will I find all tools to make new looking units in dune editing, plus other programs to make sound and different icons, or is that in all the other editing program that changes the units powers like TibEd???

Thx for that, * I give the program a quick go but there is no help file in the program there is a tab were it should be but no link to a help file in the program or no help file installed in the program ?? *Do you have to leave the mods in the zips, or unzip the mods into one folder of there own, where the mods should be found??

* Is the file missing because it is not needed?? * because not all mods will work with that certain file in every mod?? * or is it a certain file that you can add if you know how to make it, for the switching between mods??

I have had the same problemsas you all but not know more have a look in the discussion about EMPEROR AND WINDOWS XP , or if you don't want to look I have copyed everything I wrote in that discussion so it will not read right all the way throw as it is copyed. But have a look any way there might be something in there that might help ;D I have a triplex mx 440 64 mb graph card dual head ,two-head display with t.v. out, I found that the "nvidia" had to be disabled for my game not to jam the computer it only dose it on emperor, but i run "win 98 se". Now when i had "xp home" going I had problems with just "xp home and emp" as it dose not have a windows logo match for xp and that in game play or like you when it starts the E.A. logo and Westwood logo would play then it would shut down like you.Like the game had never been started and when pressing keys like (Crtl+Alt+Del ) to show shutdown screen the(game.exe and dune. and emperor.exe and ~them numbers) were not there to show if the game was even trying to run. When I had xp home I had a g-force 2 mx 400 with No t.v out it never give me any problems at all when running under windows 98 se but because the card never had t.v out it had the nvidia auto diabled so it never was the problem make the game crash with xp home. To make it easy to understand: g-force 4 mx 440 with tv out ~~~~ had problems g-force 2 mx 400 witout t.v out ~~~~ had no problems windows 98 se ~~~~ had no problems windows xp home ( tryed with no sp1 )~~~had problems with emp So with g-force 4 mx 440 and xp home or pro you might have some problems like resting your computer alot because of jaming or just trying to get it to run. and i tryed the game with 98 se and ASUS g-force 4 mx440 t.v out and 32mb ddr ram built into the card The Triplex has 128 ddr ram built into it. This graphic card worked better then the AUSU card did when nvidia was disabled it mad it more stable to play. plus norton 2003 chews a bit of ram sitting in the background running I found aswell but i do not think this is your problem, as you can get around that. {What is nvidia you ask}: You will find it in the (( control panelNvidia nView desktop manager....... there you will be able to disable and enable nvidia chip >> dose this help leyt me know man Member #2060>Re:Emperor and Windows XP

I got the computer to run with norton 2003 almost sable for 5 hours, and then the emperor crashed. To do this I only had auto protect ON plus I had the main norton 2003 Disabled and auto update OFF, to stop it from crashing... plus nvidia off too. Other then that I say leave norton out when playing emperor and try another anti virus. If you have more then one computer you can make it just a games computer like I have with this one and never put any real details in it and wipe it every 15 days to be safe. If you have the time that is. If you do not have another anti virus then zone aralm is good but it will not stop trojens and things just d.n.s and i.p port scans, but it will not clash with the game once you configure the program to let emperor.exe out and the game.exe you will be on your way playing emperor. Another good thing is that zone alarm give you the i.p address of the last i.p. it could traceafter someone dose one of the many scans that can be don on your computer. You can get a demo of zone alarm from there web sight. Don't forget never give up ;D 8)

Yes, from the start of human civilisation we have tried to outdo each other by being the stronger and the smarter than the next person. If we can not do it ourselves, we will make it... from machines to computers and the decoding of info in world war 2 to what we are today, and now we have machines building machines and humans and computers decoding the D.N.A of people and swaping and mixing genes to work out what is the best to keep and to make us more obedient and not have our own thoughts plus stop us from getting sick from all the junk floating around in the air and waterways, then when they have what they want, there will be computers teaching humans from day one, with tracking devices to the point were they might be able to tap or tune into your thoughts. From birth you will be brain washed to when certain kind of thoughts go through your mind it will trigger you to stop thinking about that certain thing, to help you keep going and not give up on things. In the end you become a program yourself but you would not know any diffent because it will be all you would know, and it would just be called human evolution in the long run and we all have to turn a blide eye to it in the end, because what can we do about it really??? People say they want it stopped but the laws are laws within laws and there are ways around just about anything so your thoughts are not safe. If your D.N.A is not safe nothing is safe, unless you have the means to keep it that way, like brainwashing your own gene improved humans, to do it just like ants live, for e.g. you might have been cloned just to be a worker and some were cloned just to be in the army and I bet you get the gist of what I am saying. If you look at most of the movies out there they have been building us up for this for a long time, from cyborg implants like Jonny Mnemonic and Matrix and even the latest Star Wars (Attack of the Clones) the book was written long before the movie. So in the end SCI FI equals a fantasy that we try to make real because we make our own fate in the end.

when you uninstall emperor make shore you have got rid of all files in the emperor file after that got to the westwood file you will find it in c: after it is unstalled get rid of the hole westwood file and if you have ra2 or trib sun dune 2000 e.c.t other E.A and westwood games in that file uninstall them. When you reinstall you want the computer overwright all the old files if it asks say "yes" to and overwright internet share files to then update again some times the file dose not update the first time right so shut down and restart and then try to update again and then reset your computer again then try to have a game and turn all not need programs running in the background off plz before you start the game up .....plz try this :O ;)

I say yes to most of the above BUT... I think before most of the above the patch should look at the compatibility with hardware and the software that runs it, and other programs like windows xp and norton anti virus.. 2002 i had no trouble, but with 2003 gezzz tell yeah i have to stop it from jaming all the time, and another thing is if a popup screen comes up in the background asking to go online or realplayer trying to auto update and the popup screens sometimes jam gameplay because the windows cursor is showing throw the game screen, but nothing will respond not even the keyboard at times and then sometimes you here beeping but the screen will not change to let you do anything, so you have to hit reset botton and scan disk, shut down, reset and then get emperor back up online. If this was not such a good game I would not speend the time mucking around but I love emperor so I find ways around the problems !!!
