its a great game, everyone should play. not everyone is mean there. i have seen alot of nice peeps there, but also have seen some pretty wicked comments too. but overall i think its worth it to be able to play this game! so get online and play.

thanx gob. i did get it in the right place. now i am having probs just getting online. i have windows xp, have had it for a week or so and cant log into dune online. i used to have windows 98 se, and had very few probs getting to play online games. but i just cant do it with xp. it just goes to the connecting screen and stays there, i have to end up hittin cntrl,alt,del and end task on d2k and restart the pc and try again. any sugestions?

i am having the same prob. my OS is xp and i get the first part of the online auto update, but the second one will not work, it just says upgraded needed and i click yes, then it shows the downloading screen and sticks there for about a minute and says error:loginfailed. and it locks up from there. i did get the patch from ww site, but am not sure where to install it. it says - Type your original DUNE 2000 installation directory here. - im not sure what to type there. when i installed d2k i just put it where it asks for during the install. any help would be great, thanks.

when the game is on easy, everything costs less, so things will build faster than if on hard. (note what shy said about 3 factorys) some of the spice mounds will dissapear after a bit, but the majority of the mounds will explode on their own making new spice, so u never run out. ;D

I love this game. I'm not sure about xp. The wwol is working and i play there alot, its pretty cool. but this game is really great. i have had it for several years and still love to play. have been wanting to play a modem game, but cant find anyone to do it. so if u get the game maby we can.

The best way to cheat is with an editor. thats the only secrets you will get. it is not hard to beat the comp. or the missions. online is where the hardball players are. :)

Harks are the greatest power on dune, hands down. 8)
