Kanly: Revisted

Lord J

Recommended Posts

You wanted it, you've got it!

This version of Kanly will be played much like its predecessor. As a poster you may submit one character. This character will be pitted against another, and will fight five rounds. After the fifth round, the winner will be declared according to his points, and will be given the option of a "fatality" post.

As a character, you must submit your form of attack: Attack, Defend, Counter-Attack, or Overwhleming Attack.

Attack is the most basic form of attack. The first person to post must be the attacking party. A six-sided die is rolled for the Attacker's points.

Defend is the most basic form of defense. The second person to post will be the defender. A four-sided die is rolled for the Defender's points.

A Counter-Attack is a higher form of defense. It equals the normal attack, but can only be used three out of the five rounds. A six-sided die is rolled for the Defender's points.

A Overwhelming Attack is the most potentially powerful attack in the game. It is the special move, the over-extended thrust, the disarming blow. It may only be used once per character in a match. A twelve-sided die is rolled for the Attacker's points.

I want to see good characters. Well-written, and detailed fights. Challenges are permitted. Any type of weaponry is permitted. Please keep graphic violence to a bare minimum. If your "fatality" post is too graphic, diembowelment, dismemberment, vampirism, decapitation, cannibalism, whatever, use the [ hide ] feature.

Have fun! :)

[edit: Wanted to include the fact, this game is based on a first come, first serve basis. I don't care who posts first in any round. That is why the attack option has a higher bonus than defense. Play on!] - LordJ

Dust Scout, Drop Zone, and ExSPlug: Prepare for battle.

I haven't considered a 3 or more character battle, yet, so I must decide the combatants for this first battle.

Using a six-sided die, I roll for the fighters. Numbers 1 and 6 are to represent Dust Scout, 2 and 5 represent Drop Zone, 3 and 4: ExSPlug.

My first roll ends with the number 4. ExSPlug is out of the first battle.

Announcement

Battle One, Round One

Combatants:

In the Red corner: In his House colors stands the finely tuned and rookie Kanly player, Dust Scout!

In the Blue corner: A mighty, valiant, powerful, green(?) Eyeball stands, controlled by its master and Kanly veteran, Drop Zone!

Begin.

Dropping into the arena by parachute, the eyeball buzzes with electricity. He Mocks namesake, and cheers to the crowd.

Jeering finished, the Eyeball rolls into a attacking position. He rears his energy and flies off the ground to attack the squeaky Dust Scout. His attack has the power of his power behind it. he squints as he charges towards the enemy

Dust Scout watches the eyeball for what appears to be an obscurely long time, before using superior speed and agility to dodge to the right and rush around to where the eyeball took off. From here, he watches as the eyeball crashes onto the spot where he had stood, taking slight damage. The Dust Scout's speedy defence has worked well.

The crowd cheers, but not too loudly.

Ouch, that defense was pretty nice, but the attack itself was powerful in it's own right.

Attacking party: Drop Zone: 5 points!

Defending party: Dust Scout: 3 points!

(Do I have to wait until Drop_Zone posts again?)

Seizing the initiative, Dust Scout attacks the giant eyeball, dashing forward while it rolls around restoring balance. He uses speed more than strength, repairing on the way, to dash around the disorientated eyeball, poking it with his sharp mechanical legs.

The points of the legs make punctures in the eyeball's cornea, and damage the retina, causing it to growl angrily as blood flows where blood should not flow, damaging the vision.

Squeaking furiously, the Dust Scout skips back to a safer distance. It stands still for a moment as circuits buzz and conduits repair. Then it dashes round to the left, smoke already beginning to clear, and starts to run in a circle around the eyeball.

The eyeball easily rolls around to watch the Dust Scout's circling. Until it changes direction. With a flash of gunfire, blood bursts from the Eyeball. It roars in pain as the Dust Scout circles again, and fires again in quick succession from many angles almost at once.

The Dust Scout moves round, faster and faster and faster, using incredible speed, it fires weakly but more and more often as the eyeball becomes disorientated in the blurr and the dust rising from the arena floor.

The gunfire is then added to as the Dust Scout feels that it can move in closer again. At lightening-speed it dashes in, slices at the eyeball with its sharp legs, and dashes away again into the dust. Gunfire, then more slicing, gunfire again and again from North and South, East and West, it's so fast!

Until eventually the eyeball turns around, blind from pain and the blood pouring out, swiping madly around for the Dust Scout, and is rammed full on in the front.

The speed is enough so that the eyeball is thrown back against the arena wall, dazed, injured, and leaking from the Dust Scout's overwhelming attack.

THe eyeball looked mean as the overwhelming attack flew upon him. He eyeball squnted and looked daggers at the dust scout.

The daggers flew across the arena, flying right into the squeaky one. This counter attack might defend agaisnt the evil one.

The eyeball fires itself up and charges with all its effort and power, the green glow of energy sprung out of its iris firing huge beams of fire which had immense power behind them. The fire beams tore towards the Dust_Scout, burning its inner self and the power of this overwhelming attack

The dust Scout's counter attack is twofold. At first, it uses the optic sensors in it's crystaline eye to reflect the first bursts of fire... Then dives.

The dust kicked up by the dust scout's previous overwhelming attack is still there! And the Dust Scout sinks right into it, allowing the fire to pass overhead, not damaging it in the slightest. The slight fire reflected in the first bursts makes up a weak counter attack , damaging the eyeball even more (while the Dust Scout repairs) but the primary move comes under the dust. The Duct Scout shakes rapidly, kicking up a cloud of dust that mixes with the fire, creating a seething mass of razor-sharp sand specks, glass globs and fire that, with no Dust Scout to aim for, flies straight back and over the Eyeball!

Nice!

Attacking Party: Drop Zone: 20 points!

Defending Party: Dust Scout: 18 points!

Still very close! One round remaining! Will Drop Zone be reduced to a tear-rusted pile of old junk? Or will the Drop Zone become a ocular pancake? Continue!

Ack! If I don't do something soon, I'm toast!

Readying one final attack, the Dust Scout at once tunnels towards the dip in the ground where the Eyeball lies, burning in places where the skin torn in earlier attacks hangs off.

Steering around to face upwards, the Dust Scout measures carefully... and shoots. At first the bullets merely catch in the dust, but before long a true hole is burst through under the Eyeball while it is still recovering from the counter-attack! Already wounded, the Eyeball leaps away, bullets peppering it's behind.

Squeaking cheerfully to itself, the Dust Scout crawls out of the dust and continues to fire, chasing the tired and wounded Eyeball around the arena while it runs blindly into walls. Losing blood and clearly not thinking straight, the Eyeball (under careful herding) blunders into the Dust Scout's hole, and lies there helpless. Bullets continue to shatter it's delicate skin while it moans in agony, and the Dust Scout sinks ever so slightly underground to avoid any incoming reprecussions. It fires on though.

The eyeball looked menacing at its attacker. THe bullets fly towards the 'ball. He slowly dodges each bullet as it misses the eye. The 'ball sucked all of its power and Leaped into the air and flew to the roof of the arena. At the top of the hall it launched a huge electrical/emp blast and shook the roof. The 'ball fired itself down to the ground as the impact of the 'ball the field of electrical energy flew across the room the EMP flowing deep into the dustscouts circuitry frying its mechanical systems. The oncoming Emlectrical wave tore apart the metal and left it to burn
