Here's some quotes from a game magizine called Gigzpc or something around that, the person who made the article went over and talked and played Doom 3 with it's creator.

"Doom 3 terrian with sensa terrain will allow players complete access to there surronding, you hit the light, its out, and won't come back on, step in something you track it on your shoes and the bad guys will follow your tracks. Kick something metal and it makes noise, causing the baddies to home in on you. Shoot something metal and risk having the buttet come off and maybe hit you, its like real lfe."

"Another great aspect of Doom 3 is the almost to good AI intellegence. They can be dumb ashell, or like your 1 on 1 with a tactical master. No more dumb monsters running after you after they spot you. If you run, they can and will communicate ahead of you to ambush you. They may even run from you, especially if they have an item you need like a card key. Power ups and guns are now revamped, meaning if your on 50 life, your very very slow, weak, etc.... I asked John Karmac on how 1 will heal himself, and he was skecthy on details.... maybe its like real life and if your shot, your dead? Guns will have kick back meaning if your standing in a small ledge and fire a rocket, you will be blown off, due to the rocket kick back."

And get this...It's requirments are a Geforce 4 :O.

I am looking forward to the release of DooM3, but no release date is set yet.

Have you all downloaded the gameplay video?

It looks neat.

I am well prepared for it because I upgraded my computer not long ago. ;D

I would think most likely at least some sort of Pentium 4 and 512 for RAM, but that's just a guess.

I'm really looking forward to Doom III, I was a fan of the first two games, they were really the first games I ever played.

I need to get a new comp though, lol.

obviously Doom rules

i still don't get why this game is coming almost 10 years too late

why did they ever bother making the Quake series? what a retarded franchise! they abandoned Doom to make Quake? that was the most retarded decision in the history of the PC Game Industry. Quake sucks. no atmosphere, unlike Doom. whoever said to abandon Doom to make Quake --- i bet that guy was a junkie who has long-since died of illegal drug use.

it's about time they make more Doom games.

Quake 3, however, was just littering the storeshelves.

I'm kind of surprised (I've never played Q3). Given the fact that it's engine has powered so many great games:

Jedi knight II, Elite Force, MOH:AA, BattleField 1942, RtCW, and Enemy Territory to name a few. Plus Jedi Academy, Battlefield: Vietnam, and Elite Force 2 coming up.

But I suppose it's all in the hands of the people building on the engine.

The engine was very good, but the game was not.

I'm glad that DooM games aren't released so often because they have to be the "cream" when they're released.

It's like "Whoa, a new Doom game! Let's trow all my other junk out the window."

Doom has to be one of the first games taking in use new technology.

This time, it does. It's a step ahead of all other games.
