Sardauker-Kirov
Suddenly the Temple's has spike's even sharper then the teeth of the Sandworm and he gets impaled from the inside. But then Timenn comes and gets mad, Slamming the temple in pieces with his.. erm....... twenty miles long tail. :)
Gunseng_Harkonnen
Legend started and legend goneFrom now Fremen are taught to not build their buildings on Shai Hulud plate
Nefud
A Fremen Temple destroying a Shai-Hulud? ??????Don't you think that Fremen would never kill a worm? It's their God! And killing a god isn't such a good idea after all... ;D
quoudam72
They kill worms to get the "Water of life" or do you not remember? Maybe they are not really the god like you think them (worms) to be to the Fremen.
Acriku
I have always thought that there was one single worm that was the Shai-Hulud, and the others are "representatives" of it. But then again I've only read the first two books, reading the third.
burseg_candor
the true worm is Shai-Hulud
quoudam72
Interesting concept but it is not true. "Shai-hulud" designates the earth deity of the Fremen hearth superstitions.
burseg_candor
lookive been a dune fanatic since i was 3i read the book when i was 5ive learned pretty much everything about dunethe fremen hold what they call the "True Worm" in reverencethat is Shai-Hulud
quoudam72
::) You didn't even know what a fanatic was at age three (3). You were still having liquid and soild bodily waste removed from pampers by your mum and dad give me a break. I said it was an interesting concept (it could be true) but I have yet to see the evidence in the Dune Chroniciles to support the statement so I can debate the truth of it. All we have to do is find something that will support the idea.
burseg_candor
at age 3 i saw the david lynch movie and liked iti read the booki own the chroniclesheck....my bed looks like a sandworm!beat that!
quoudam72
We were talking religion on Dune how about you show us what reading the Dune Chroniciles from age five (5) will do for a self professed Dune fanatic (since age 3).
Mahdi
How about we break off this train of thought and get back on topic before we piss off the moderators with a pointless flame war over who's a bigger fanatic.
burseg_candor
the o.c.b. is a collection of all of the worlds major religions so as to please everybodyhowever, buddahislam rebelled and did not join the o.c.b.
Mahdi
Thats more like it.Btw, in reply to an earlier post, the OCB was not compiled in orbit around earth, but rather on a secluded island on Earth. I would take everything that guy at the newsgroup said with a grain of salt if he thought the ocb was made in space.
quoudam72
What happened to buddhaislam when it rebelled from the collection of other religions? Why rebel in the first place?
