Mahdi
I was wondering why you tossed the other into the dungeon.
Davidu
Hmm... Vanguard, shouldn't this be in FanFic?Anyway, the poem it's nice. Not too deep, nor too long. But nice.
Dunenewt
Why is this in Fan fiction as it wasn't made by a fan

Andrew
The title kinda rhymes which is cool.Is Chani saying that she wants her soul to go to Shai-hulud because she loves Maud'dib?err this one is more complicated.
Vanguard3000
I think she's saying she'll follow Muad'Dib anywhere, even in death.

Andrew
:)Ok I started reading it, and then when I got to And full-breasted houris, a smile came over my face, as that is probably what Gurney would like.(even though it is just a song)umm is he well, considering to feel the full-breasted houris in 2nd paragraph? (first 3 lines of 2nd paragraph)4-6 line par 2, he still is scared that he will be killed, War has gotten to him badly. He wonders why he remembers the scars form the past even though he is safe now.Liked this song.
Vanguard3000
I think this pem fits Gurney's character very nicely. It depicts a man who has much, but has also seen much. Despite his position (either as friend of the Atreides, or as Earl Halleck) which allows him many luxuries, and his romantic qualities, he is still a scarred and whithered old soldier. During his slave days, and his time in the service of the Atreides, he has seen many horrors. These experiences has permeated his very being; they run deeper than any luxury or happiness he can ever know.
Inoculator9
Very nice, and very in character with Gurney.

Vanguard3000
Before I post the next poems, I'd just like to hear some people's opinions on 'Song of the C.E.T. Delegate'.
Andrew
I was looking at this thread a day ago or so. :PI think I actually remember the Tleilaxu one. :)True how did the Tleilaxu build it. Through genetics over the years to perfect a person such as Hwi?Maybe it has something with them providing him with Duncan, and how is a leader that provides genetics of Atreides (that FishSPeakers follow fanatically). (Maybe the narrow part is that their was only one abundant Atreides gene, other than Ghanima.)WormsongCanst thou deny what has no cure?- Maybe it is talking about the Spice addictiveness. The flesh and breath which lure thee- Strong cinnamen smell lures Spice Gatherers. The flesh lures observers. To cover intoxications of divinity- Spice Essence? (or at least spice) which intoxicates people if too much taken, and leads to divinity or insight about humanity. Leto le Juste
Wormsong is very beautiful :) Thanks"To cover intoxications of divinity"_ Spice Agony? The addiction of Prescience, you know the headlines of the future and you have to live with it.."or hide the burnings of desire"_ Desert and his protector (the worms) are the perfect site in order to mesure your love for somebody. As in a love story you have to be honest, you can't be tricky or you will die and the sand will recover you...
Vanguard3000
Happy Two-Four!Holy Trance of the Priestess"She rides the sandworm of space! She guides through all stormsInto the land of gentle winds.Though we sleep by the snake's den,She guards our sleeping souls.Shunning the desert heat,She hides us in a cool hollow. The gleaming of her white teethGuides us in the night.By the braids of her hairWe are lifted up to heaven.Sweet fragrance, flower scented,Surrounds us in her presence."
