Emperor's Bubonic Plague: n00b-Generation Syndrome

I now notice a very disturbing trend of the n00b-Generation of Emperor. Note: due to lack of Tournaments, those afflicted with n00b-Generation Syndrome will never have the opportunity to become good at Emperor and will therefore remain n00bs forever.

In order to "cop-out" of playing real settings, n00bs promote the absurd myth that LW, FOW, SW, PRE, CRATES; lag the game. Most of those who say these things lag the game realize that in reality they do not lag the game at all.

***NONE*** of these things lag the game!!!! Not one of them, ever! The ONLY things that lag the game are:

1. High Graphics

2. Downloading while on WOL

and WORST OF ALL.........

3. You God-forsaken n00bs who keep entering my game and posting BS in my rooms that other things cause lags in a pathetic attempt to weasel out of playing real settings!!!!!!!!!!

All members of this n00b-Generation should be smacked around profusely in real life!!! I have a message to this n00b-Generation: stop entering my games, stop wasting my time! If you're too much of an idiot to play on real setts which you *know* my games will always have, don't come in! Beat it! Go take a long walk off a short plank and do every other similarly-cliched activity that you can possibly think of instead of entering my games!

I am through debating with you LOSERS. If you say one word against my settings, you are getting kicked instantly! No debate with you pansies. One strike, you're out! I am sure there are plenty of n00bs who will accomodate your pre-school/kindergarten-esque settings, so go play with them!

He's right though. (Although LW can cause some lag, since it adds more units to the game...but it's insignificant if you have a decent comp.)

Lol, pre-built lagging. Never heard that one before...

Although like Duke said, LW can cause some lag due to the huge XBFs of the worms when they surface, other than that none of those should. FOW is just a texture...(Wonders if any of the modders notices a cunning cheat here...)

Not that I've been able to find that aforesaid texture myself.

How do you know when it's HIS game you are entering? I'll bet he still plays incognito. Something like Wyner123 or crybaby2. If he sat there in a room with his real name showing, who would play with him? Geez, Nav, you are still sooooooo irritating.

Apollyon, it wouldn't be a 'cheat', because things would still disappear, but the darker colour for what is under the fog simply wouldn't be there, if you mean what I think you do. It would, in fact, be useless, since you can't tell what's under fog and what's not.

Worms will slow the game down if you have a slowish machine to begin with.
