This is kinda a silly post. I just noticed though, and you guys tlel me if I am right or wrong. Doesnt it seem like the older frank got and with each additional copy of Duen made, that it got more sexual and more sexual? This has always been a mystery to me. Even with frank's other works, it is just strange that they get more and more sexual as the more current books by frank are published. anybody notice this? or am I the only one? lol

It might...

Nonetheless, I agree with Vanguard. Heretics seemed to have the most. Dune 7 would likely have contained very little, since Duncan and Murbella were apart and nobody needed imprinting.

Or may be even more, because in Dune 7 witches would be whores-witches. So imagine how they would teach now :O

Nevertheless Dune is about control and it can't be denied that sex is also control (including self-control).

What is more disturbing in Dune is that sex thoughts are often oedipian and sex acts are often primitive (at hormonal level). No love, just the walk of genes. If someone would say Dune is apologia of human selection and eugenism, I would answer it is just the contrary. But I am forced to admit FH provides very little support for his defense.

Well at least theres very little of sex that serves no purpose; like ohh lets make love for the fun of it, and then frank describe it all.

Most sex in the novels serves a purpose to further the story.

But his last 2 books, kinda had more sex than his first 4 altogether.

Is that why there were more sexy scenes in the CoD miniseries than in the first one since they are based on later books? Aye that Alia scene ;D

yeah but it kinda develops. leto II started the whole revolution thing with Siaynoq, then the scattering created the imprinters. the whole sex thing is explained in Heretics and Chapter House, far from being a weird topic thrown in mysteriously.
