Anybody knows any good Text-to-Talk/Sound program? Those who doesn't know: it is a program where you type in a sentence, and the computer "speaks" it.

Anyways, I am looking for such a program with a save-as-wav/mp3 ability.

Anybody know?

I don't know any of those, but why don't you just buy a Mic and record your own voice? it would be way less aggravating listening to your own voice later on then having a computer try to "read" to you

Well, as for text-totalk, XP comes with one.

It does?

That's the whole point ::) !

I made one with VB, copying half the code out of a PC magazine. But no save as wav- you can run sound recorder in the background for that, and just have the program take the sound directly off the output.

I'll try to find it.

Ai, that is very hard to make ex, and I think alot of people are trying to make it, but yet unsuccesful. There may be some test programs, but they will not be good.

And they will certainly not work if you speak the way you type ;)

Timenn: Software like that does exist, and it pretty decent, but it has to "listen" to you for a long time before it's calibrated (like a furby, I guess). And it will only work with the person with whome it is calibrated. My aunt's boss/professor has one such program.

It will probably only function with clear language, and like you say, it doesn't recognize words, but only patterns of different sound frequencies.
