Who else thinks this band TOTALLY kicks ass!

There music is wicked awsome and fricken cool sounding. I love heavy music and thats about as heavy as you can get lol. I dont support there ways I just enjoy the beat and the sound of the lyrics. I do know German and do understand what the songs mean but it really dosent matter to me. Rammstein is really awsome!!

They are not an "official" Nazi band and they do not support the ways of the KKK. They may view things similar to the nazis but they are not nazis. Note that nazisism is illegal.

Who cares what they support most cant even understand what they are saying :).

Most [ all ] of the songs you have mentioned are from the album named Mutter, and according to many people it was a good album. It hit the top of the European charts in no time if I remember it correct.

That doesn't mean they don't make great music ;)

"Du hast" means "you have" if that was what you meant.

I like this band very much. I have about all of their songs and many of them kick ass, though some of them are crap as hell.

He is saying, "Du hast mich gefragt, und ich habe nicht gesagt",(or something) in his song which means, directly translated, "You have asked me, but I have not said anything"

you are absolutely correct, I don't know that much about Rammstein only why they are called Rammstein and I've heard some of their track due to one of my friends like them, I don't really like them. However I found this site with all their lyrics and translations.

It is possible to be a "national socialist" without being a "Nazi". National Socialism is a liberal form of fascism, that I, myself, seem share alot of the ideaology of. However, when the term Nazi is used, most of the world, including the German government, attach the seggregation and persecution of the Jews, homosexuals, and Gypsies.

The two are not synonymous. It is the differnece between political philosophy and outright bigotry, though the Nazis were National Socialist. (The word Nazi is a concatenation of the German words for National Socialist)

So, my point is simply to be discerning about who and what you listen too on both ends. Since World War II ended, there has been a highly successful "campaign" to demonize anything similar to the ideals of the Nazi party, branding innocent people as evil and rascist just for haveing certain political views. Likewise, there _is_ a demographic of people who at least pay lip service to the ideals of national socialism (without fully understanding them) becasue of their shared racial bias towards the same people persectued by the Nazis.

Having said that, I know not what Rammstien says, but musically it makes me sad for North America. Why cannot we have more musicians this talented instead of corporate power pop bullshit?

Mutter is a great album but I also really like "Live aus Berlin". I bet a concert would be totally awsome.

Du Hast mean "you hate" but doesnt du Hast when the "s" is the symbol with the name i cant remember.. doesn't that mean "you hate"? It;s just in the lyrics it says "you hate" as the translation. Though I did german at school and seem to remember it being you have... hm.

That's the only Rammstein song I like really.. and only because it is on CKY2K.

good grief, they are a pop band that arent really too talented. and most of their music is just repeating crap. I do like some music that is trance-like and methodical. I love synthetic-metal type rock. I just cant stand them at all. I could name other bands that are more worthwile to listen to in my opinion.

What a load of crap you just said TMA. Rammstein is far from a pop band, and you know that, too, you are just being intellectually dishonest. Rammstein is original, makes their own songs and music (which is hard to say for most pop singers), and kicks the hell out of any band you can mention. What you said makes me doubt that you even listened, and I mean actually LISTENED (not just popping in a song and saying 'Oh what blasphemy! Nazis! Nazis! ::)).

They probably don't do all that well in the USoA, but for European standarts the group Rammstein isn't anything near what you mentioned TMA-1.

There are always band more worthwille to listen to in some one elses opinion. .. .
