I don't know. Who around here says he hated the US? Who around here said he hated Israel? I do believe that the Palestinians aren't treated as they should be but I don't hate the US or Israel- just a select set of individuals within them.

well you always seem to be favouring Palestine...and dis-favouring the US. so i'd say you fit right in with my thesis. maybe not with the term hate, but still you fit in there

It's not about HATING another country but about not agree. emprworm, do you HATE Canada? Do you HATE Europe? Do you also HATE Canadians and so on?

People have some reasons and here's just a copy/paste from other post:

Until now:

- They were furnishing weapons to dictatorships and passing weapons USA was giving (Nicaragua, Salvadore, Africa...).

- It annexed alot of Palestine.

- Amnesty International "estimates 1600 Palestinians routinely arrested by Israeli military forces every year, falf "systematically tortured" " with Supreme court approval (saying they are too evil, it's the only way).

- When some atrocities occurs, Palestinians are placed under harsh curfew, no matter who is responsible (but not Israelites). Notice that kids don't go to school often and now have a scholarship problem: they were using Internet to go to a virtual school but without justification, Israel went to Internet furnisher and bombed it

- " Razing Palestinian houses in the search for "Jewish archeological remains" and establishing "nature reserves", later to be converted to Jewish housing "

- Imprisonment without charge

- Israel military operations aren't restricted to the "security zone"

- Why does such a little country have a military that is bigger than Russia?... Because it uses it. It also has bio/chemical and didn't signed the Nuclear Non-proliferation treaty

- "illegal use of weapons occasionally elicits a reprimand or temporary cut-off of shipments when the consequences receive too much publicity"

- The kamikaze may terrorize, they use such methods because they don't have same weapons: you kill lot better with organized weaponry like Israel. And they killed alot more also. Not counting everything they destroyed...

I can continue the list like this for a long time since I just passed the first 50 pages of a book that has 565.

Source: Most of it comes from Fateful Triangle, Noam Chomsky. Espescially the preface. What was under "" is direct quote.

well I don't know with the Ameria-haters but the reason why I tend to favor the palestinian is because their land was taken from them by the UN.

i just seem to notice that people who hate america are generally against Israel. Maybe I"m wrong here, but its my observation. I find it curious.

Because they are anti-semitists, due to all-time anti-jewish propaganda, which took now as a target the most powerful state. Hitler told about USSR regime as judebolshevism, now every investigative reporter tries to find out how powerful is the jewish lobby in White House. Damned conspirologers...

Caid you can believe what you want but why the hell would I hate another man due to his religious beliefs? Does all who's against the palestinian suicede bombers then hate moslems? It's funny how, when ever someone opens their mouth about Israel they get the mark ANTI-SEMITIST that's utter crap in my opinion. Yes many jewish people have seen many horrible things so have slavs, but that doesn't give Israel the right to do what Sharon wants.

That's not about religion. It's about nationalism, jeal for strengths and wealth, and impatience. USA support separate Palestine state, altough everyone knows it would soon become a dictatorship like Iraq or Syria.

So, Hitler showed a worst way of oppressing nation, nothing is worst... But antisemitism is based on racial or nationalistic hate. Semit means member of middle-eastern race, and as most hate was in history pointed against the jewish nation (mind they had most wealth in Europe), it was used about them as only middleeasterns living here.

because among those pple are dumbasses[also in pro-american society] who think of this equation---->Israel+USA supplies=USA state ;)

ok Caid, I didn't know that, still anti-semitism isn't about a national but about a race. I don't dislike people because of their race or religion. My first post still stands.

Also my post wasn't pointed against your posts. I am enough smart person to not hate anyone with different thoughts and I think you too. It was pointed against "america-haters", those who hate USA. That means not for those who disagree their politics, but those who want to destroy it.

I don't personally know anyone who hates America, so I'm afraid I can't answer your question.

i've often wondered if you knew yourself or not.

I don't hate America either. I dislike the government and the economic system, but America as an idea, and the American people, I have no problem with.

My problem is that the US of today is nothing like the founding fathers wanted it to be.

Posted

Nothing is, or ever was, how founding fathers wanted. Altough they have same constitution since its creation. just some things were added. Economical system, unintervened free trade, is the highest point of whole american ideology, so if you want to accept US system, you must accept this too.

I have been to Isreal and was apalled by what I saw there. It is the actions that the government of Isreal take that I find repellant together with the actions of the "settler" communities. My feelings are not directed at anything to do with the people or their religeon. What I saw ammounts to theft and oppression, it is that that I detest.

The US groups seem to gloss over these aspects of Isreal when discussing the issues involved.

Then there are the Palestinians, some of whom resort to terrorism which is in itself detestable. However if I were placed under the conditions of the Palestinians I would rebel. I would not submit to what they are expected to submit to, and I would not expect them to.

The US groups emphasise this aspect of the situation without refering to the underlying causes. This seems biased, especially considering that when the situation was reversed between '45 and '47 the US tended to gloss over the acts of terrorism comitted by several Jewish groups.

Does a feeling of outrage at oppression, theft and terrorism constitute anti-semitism?

Does annoyance at unreasonable uses of vetoes against UN security council resolutions that attempt to address the situation constitute America bashing?
