Caid Ivik
So, who are against the war? We have:Libya - led by Kaddafi, terrorist responsible for LockerbieEgypt - arabic nationalists trying to reunite the kalifate, after 4 lost wars with Israel hardly...Syria - aggressive nation (two attacks on Israel) with vast deserts near Iraqi border (hides?)Jordan - very known for loss of Jerusalem in 6-day war, from then main supporter of HamasChina - read 20th century thread about it...Angola - in permanent civil war, under weapon delivery sanctionsIran - led by oppressive shi'ite rule, former base country for Taliban (with Pakistan)Turkey - just to remain unseen what they did with Kurdis tooRussia - highest market ratings with IraqCanada - only reason should be that girls in their government dislike Bush and insult himMexico - because "nations interests" are over world's (then why they've joined the UN?)FranceGermany
Anathema
40 countries support a non UN approved war. There are 181 countries in the world. This thread shouldn't even have been made.
Caid Ivik
About 40 support. About 20 counter. 160 does not even have the mood or courage to say their opinion.
emprworm
"160 does not even have the mood or courage to say their opinion"thank you for that clarification. i was getting worried after I read earthnuker's post.
Anathema
Hey, that was fun :DMost of them are afraid of expressing their opinion because the UN wil revoke financial aid if they expres anti war sentiment.Seriously, do you really think it is a good idea to go through something the majority of the world is against, and with that, almost half of your own country? Caid Ivik
Half of the world doesn't even know what it is all about. Other half knows only what they hear from media.

Anathema
I honesstly wouldn't know, ask Ex. There aren't particulary many jews in Turkey anyway, and at any account Turkey is better then any other islamic country, and in the future Turkey will probably improve too. emprworm
i judge a natioon by the following quesitons:does it allow free expression of religion?will i find churches, synagogues, mosques, hindu/buddhist temples there?if the answer is no to either of those questions, as far as I"m concerned that nation is a repugnant stench that needs a little US imperialistic butt whoppin. ;)
exatreide
churches, synagogues, mosques, hindu/buddhist temples are in turkey :) Go there, Turkey is caught between its wanting to be a western power and its ottoman and islamic history...its leaning towards the western power.... Caid Ivik
In other words, civilians are ignorant Caid? No, those countries shit at our problem. Say me that such Mugabe in Zimbabwe has much better fun with whites in his country, so why would he bother himself by such detail as Iraqi war? Dante
Shall we remember what happened LAST time a group of countries started acting agressively against the will of a large body of united countries? I.e. Germany etc against the League of Nations? WW2. That's what. Perhaps this will be a pattern...

nampigai
I don't believe that we've heard the last from Turkey, Erdoan (sp?) if he will become their leader he'll prolly twist some arms to allow the US to attack from Turkey, so he can cash in a nice checque from the US.
