It's really weird, cause when im in the warcraft lobby (< example) i can still chat with others, but i can't join a game, and my web browser doesn't work either.

I hope you guys can help me out, either that or i have to re

Well that message is pretty useless. I was hoping for a little more. Oh well that's Microsoft for you. I have done some searching on MSN and I have found a lot of people are having connectivity problems with MSN, but none are mentioning this MSN Messenger error. You may be right about it being a virus, but it could be as simple as maybe a corrupt file. Have you tried reinstalling MSN and MSN Messenger?

Well it's not just the msn messenger, even if i don't have it running, my internet still shuts down after 30 minutes, thing is when i do have it running, i get that error.. that's all.

it's probable a virus, but i don't understand why a virus would shut down my internet connectio, that's a lacky virus if you ask me. Anyway, im thinking of re

Probably the most stupid reply you can get, but did you select "disconnect connection after 30 minutes" in the properties of your network settings ?

If you're using a dial in connection [ like any modem type, DSL, anolog or ISDN ] it could be an error of your provider. Or a disconnectin of your phone line for call 30 minutes and up.

[ A lot of people use messenger, so there will be a lot of cases where people have problems with it. Still there can be even more cases where it works. :) Don't forget that the average MSN user is a 13 - 16 year old girl ;) ]

that's what happened to me when i played emp a LONG LONG time ago (no not in a galaxy far far away) i would be sitting there playing and then all of a sudden it would minimize emp with a screen that says disconnection in..15,14,13 etc and then i would say dont' disconnect, then 5 min later it would happen again only it didn't have an option to stay connected... it took me forever to figure out the whole problem was that i didn't notice the first time it connected that it had a box to check that said don't use auto disconnect

LOL...... i felt so stupid

but i think you can rule out the virus thing.... it doesn't make sense to me that a virus would WANT to disconnect, seeeing as the way it was probably growing is sending out more through your email or something

because when i had like 3 worms in my hardrive a while ago... whenever i turned on the internet it received an enourmous amount of information every second... it didn't do anything to try and disconnect me... because it was using my comp as a place to send out copies of itself.... sniff... i was the host.... in fact it sent out so many messages and so many failed sendings came back that our email received about 100 messages every second... and the company stoped our email....

Think it's not a virus myself. . or don't prefer that option at least. But there are a lot of aspirant "hackers" who think they are funny and produce irritating programms with no use at all. Disconnecting some one could be verry frustrating to some and as such make a good programm to create fore them.

Well no, i have adsl, No dail up modem, And my network settings are fine..

But i noticed that after let's say 20 minutes.. my internet gets reduced in speed and it gets worse and worse and after another 10 minutes it shuts down.

( It's not exactly 30 minutes.. could be 35 could be 25)

It could be a damaged virus, I recently opend a virus in a hex editor.. Dumb fucking me i forgot that when i put it in an editor it Opens the virus... Anyway this thing wanted to connect to the internet luckely my firewall blocked that.

This thing tried to connect to the internet when i opend it. This is the virus that tried to connect to the internet: tcpsvs32.exe

Probable doesn't mean much to guys but either way.. i'm going to re

If you have an DSL router and use PPPoP to dial in for example [ you got an user name and password from your ISP to log in with ] there can still be an option in your router that log's you out. Although it seems unlikely when it's not exactly 30 minutes. It should be exact eatch time.

Hope the reinstall works.. . good luck :)

i think i have the problem i hasd the same problem untill some one told me to log in as a user on the main OS. are you logged in as a user ??? if you dont know then click on the "start" menu button and if it says "Log off..." then you are not logged in as a user and the way to fixx this is to go to my computer, click on control panel, click on users and find the button that says "create new user" or something like that then follow the given directions. hope that helps ;D

are you using dialup ?

if so some software i used to use automatically cut off after so long when on the internet., although you were able to change that setting somehow. but i doubt this is the problem

that happened to me a while ago as well.... it ended up fixing itself ... it was only like that for about 2 weeks at most

i suppose it is possible it's a virus... you should just try running that virus scan Nyar posted, after all he is the tech master ;D
