I've lived in America for nearly 16 years. It has been alright. I've always wanted to travel to Europe,Australia and other cool places but i guess i cant yet :-

So whats it like where u live?? I have all these stereotypes in my head about things u guys do, but really i dont know a damn thing. I am *TOTALLY* clueless. Whats a typical day like? A family occasion/Holiday? School/Work...??

Well, in the Netherlands everybody is mostly stoned 24/7.

J/K. It's not bad over here, but I haven't visited the US myself so I can't compare the two. People go to school here at least till they're 16, then usually go study something.

Slovakia is a nice little country, mostly in small mountains. People don't care much about their enviroment, everyone is lusting for fun or money. And all suffer over their payments. Unemployed mother with 5 children has state support of 20 000 crowns per month (average payment is 10 000; 39 Sk=1 USD, 1 kg of bread costs about 15-20 crowns). Most land belongs still to state, so you can go on trip without permision of land's owner. Just we have no ASDL connection and all movies and games are here some months later after US premiere.

It's a warm day here today, only minus 30 degrees. Coldest capital in the world. "Wheres that damn global warming? Screw the grandkids, I'm cold now!" (The Drew Carey Show).

I can tell something about the Netherlands, where I live:

The Netherlands has a population of 16 million. It is a small country, and quite dense populated. Although you have a region that is more denser populated then the rest. We call that region the Randstad (Edge City) and it contains the most large cities. The capitol lies in that region too and is called Amsterdam. In Amsterdam live 800,000 people.

The Randstad covers in the whole NorthWest (coast-side) of the Netherlands.

Mostly the Netherlands is flat, and you have some hills in the southeast. We have forests and also much polders. And we have alot of little canals. And we don't have large pieces of the same terrain.

I can tell you a bit of my live here if you want.

Well, from your view you can say that other countries look like the Netherlands. But don't forget they still have big differences

Norway is a land of mountains. It has quite few habitants and, believe it or not, it is the best country in the world to live in(referring to UN's measuring stuff) :).

Norway is a quite popular tourist country and we earn alot by emptying the wallets of souvenir-crazy tourists ;D.

We celebrate christmas as you do in America with one main difference: We celebrate it all on the 24th.

Norway has a very small military army because we got more than enugh to spend our money on as it is. This is such an expensive country! :(

I have never been in USA so I can't compare the countries.

well don't come to Denmark we have the highest taxes in the world, the people here are greedy demanding something for their tax money (obvious), no one take care of their old parents but expect the state to take care of them.

Norway are troubled with schools and health... We pay alot of money but the governent doesn't know how to organize the money... >:(

Yeah.

What if the minister of economics in norway actually learned to count and do some math?

Neeeh, I must be crazy suggesting that... A politicians job is lying, not manage the country in the best possible way ;)

Thats just mean, cyborg.

Yeah because we knew you was counting on winning that curling competitions, but then some vikings with brooms appeared on your "next match" list... ;D

Ya got lucky. It was those horned helmets of yours. The Americans put donuts ont he horns so the Canadians got distracted and couldn't play there best game.

Ahh, I knew there were some tricks involved! ;D

Anyway, if you don't mind, we plan to beat you the next time too(not to mention beat you in being the best country too) :).

Oh, well see about that. Next time our team will be the Trgically Hip! (Canadian in-joke, watch Men With Brooms to see what I mean).

That sounds very cool 8).

I think the norwegians will meet up in their normal horned hats and axes(in this game we use brooms :(, so they come with brooms instead) on their back.

Well the cultural differencees vary with extremes depending on which country you go to. The biggest difference I remember about Europe versus Canada is the size of everything. European nations have a lot more people living there in a lot smaller piece of land. That's pretty much uniform across the whole country. Space costs more, and they use it more economically. Stairways are more narrow, ceilings are lower, cars are MUCH MUCH smaller (it seems everyone drives a mini), everything down to the food portions is smaller, which I think is a good thing. Public transportation in Europe actually works. I can remember chuckling to myself waiting for the Underground in London while two people talk about how slow it was, and how the train only came every three to five minutes. Well, where I live, at peak hours buses come about 25 minutes apart. That's at peak hours. Standard is 30 minutes, and 60 minutes on weekends and holidays.
