Perhaps letting people rule their own threads has gone a littl off

I'm not really saying this is so, just that perhaps it is so. I mean, when you see someone saying so and so is not allowed in his thread ''just cause''... It just seems a little off. It's a free and fair capitalist world so the posters should be able to post in any post unless forbidden by the site's owners... The creators of the thread have no rights over their threads since they don't own the site. Of course... this is the decision of the owners of the site, it's just that it seems like more of a means to extend personal vendettas and grudges that seem to be growing a little, stopping much discussion in the process. I fear the ignore feature is becoming heavily used for certain indivuals, judging from the amount of people not allowed to participate in certain posts or perhaps I've just read the wrong posts

Well, people can't forbid you to post in a specefic thread, as long as they aren't moderator. However, if you have good reasons that someone is not allowed to post in your thread, for example because that one always ruins your topics, you can ask a moderator if he agrees...

The only place is that you can forbid people from posting is in fan fic.

That being that certin people dont like each other "god modders" they call each other and massive flamming resualts

the best we have found was to alow the maker of a topic only to alow certin people to post to prevent flame wars.

so then if someone spent like 5 posts building up an army, someone else annhilates the entire bunch with like 6 atomic weapons and an invincible army of Invincibots in one post ;) i get it.
