Status:

House Moritani - Destroyed the only known source of spice, Arrakis

Guild - Surviving on dwindiling stockpiles of spice

Bene Tleilax - Controllers of Giedi Prime

House KYA - Allies of Guild. Terraforming a new 'Dune'.

Ix - Allies of Moritani. Have space warping machines which aren't reliant on spice.

Johnson, with enough military power, gets the Guilds Permissin to become a House Major, and since the people are now living on Caladan, they name it House Atretus in honor for the past owners

OOC - in the deleted post the Grumman military began to attack the Ordos, transported by the portal.

Another Grumman army entered the portal, heading for Draconis 4. They were a support army. The first army has managed to destroy the Ordos capital city and disable the army.

The support army joined the rest in the last assault upon the Ordos military. Gunship bombings destroyed the bunkers, in which the desperate Ordos tried to hide themselves. The rest of the enemies ran away.

Draconis 4 was overtaken.

Planet Julius of Tupli became a desert world.

Sandworms roamed across its surface. The spice melenge was once again under guild control.

The surving highliners waited above the world. Shipments of spice were being braught up for the navigaters to use.

The KYA population begain industrialazation on the near by world of Apathis.

Agriculture begain to help feed the guild and KYA needs.

While vehicle and space ports begain poping up as well.

KYA soilders begain to train in the harsh desert of Julius.

Well there are several options.

Ask in the duniverse froum for weapons,soilders and that like.

Read the books is the second one

Read the glossery in the back of the book.

The Guild Hieghliner carrying the Atreides from Caladan to Arrakis in the first Dune novel, is destroyed. The entire Atreides line is wiped out completely, leaving no ruling House on Arrakis.

Kwisatz Haderach project is also brought to a stand-still with the deaths of Jessica, concubine to Duke Leto and Paul Atreides, rightful heir to House Atreides.

House Harkonnen is under inquiry and *close* observation following the catastrophe, and will not be able to launch a direct movement for siezure of Arrakis.

House Corrino, the Imperial House has sent several legions of Sardaukar to Arrakis, to keep the peace until negotiations are complete.

House Atreides is dead, but you can play any other House in the fight for Dune. House Corrino will not be able to take direct control of Arrakis, but may work in tandem with another House. House Harkonnen will not be able to move directly into power of Arrakis, but may launch small, covert attacks for when they are released.

The Kwisatz Haderach project is, as I said, at a standstill. If someone wishes to take control of the Bene Gesserit, you may begin work on the Kwisatz Haderach project to be finished in not less than 20 posts.

I've started this thread in hopes for some interest. Please, keep military buildup and use realistic. No one-post battles and nothing more powerful than a planetkiller. Remember, the use of atomics is outlawed by the Great Convention, and their use will be adaquate reason for attack. Although the Bene Tielax, Ix, The Guild, the Bene Gesserit and CHOAM are not Houses, they may be played by anyone. I'm thinking about re-vamping later on for a much more detailed game invovling rules like 18th Century.

have you noticed the differences between that and the dune game?

the atreides never moved to arakis in the game. they simply sent forces.

This and the game are diferent. IF game units were in this it would be caos....pure caos....maybe it could be managed but it would be hard.

I've read all of the books, but it did not have a detailed number of units. Anyway, why can't we take something from game if we can even make up Houses?

Actually IQ is not your intelligence. It is your ability to learn, which is why children do better usually when they are young.

One single digit IQ is in fact better than double digits. That is the IQ of Zeroe. A Zeroe IQ means you have no need to learn, you know everything. A good example if you believe in God is God having an IQ of zeroe.

Back to our old friend Anmar! She and her two commandos escaped Arrakis before it was destroyed, her contact with the Fremen did not. Anmar is now residing in Secondary Heighliner, and is making concerted efforts to ally the Bene Gesserit to the Guild in secret. She is succeeding too (but not yet succeeded!), as the Bene Gesserit desperately need spice.

The two Heighliners of Sardaukar, no longer under the old Supreme Bashar, are now under the control of Supreme Bashar Halte, and are also on Secondary Heighliner, allied to the Guild. House KYA's Heighliner is Heighliner KYA (surprise surprise).

The Guild has already sent a Heighliner to Bandalong and recieved Tleilaxu reenforcements, it is en route to Geidi Prime right now.

The hieghliners are shook when the rumble of the whole Atretus fleet hovers over them, weapons ready. Johnson comes over a moniter in all the hieghliners, the navigators wacth eagerly. "Guild, we are not here to destroy you, we are here to protect you from the destruction the other Houses will bring, since our men are well trained and we have many ships your safty is almost gaurenteed, but since there are many Houses teaming up against you, we can sure as hell not be certain about that. And regarding your spice threat, we do not consume the drug, only I do for longer life and I find it repulsive, and since we used engines instead of heighliner flight it is not threat, we do this by using a secret meathod not used by any other house. Anyways, we will protect you from any oncoming onslaughts."

The Guild hold absolute power over everyone. Under the Ix/Moritani scheme the space folding machines would be given to lots of houses which would become special 'Transport' houses. This would create compition and increase efficiency

Tuplie: So called "Sanctuary planet" (probebly several planets) for defeated houses of the imperiam.

Location known only to the guild and maintained under the guild peace.

We didnt have any other ships out. That I know of.

So unless your atacking phantom guild highliners.....

I would say we could be able to pick up some trace of where the space was warped by all those numerous Guild Heigleigners and tell where it led. It is possible with extremely advanced technology.

And Ordos, and all other allied houses. :) And the Primary Heighliner is hidden, in the VASTNESS of space. Secondary Heighliner, with Sardaukar troops is with it, Heighliner KYA is guarding the new Dune. All other Heighliners are spread out through space in order to minimise chances of being found.

"We are almost ready." A Navigator says, "Is the-"

"Engine ready?"

"Close to-"

"Completion. Soon we shall-"

"Have it!"

And so a gigantic piece of machinery is constructed, two actually. One at the South Pole, and one at the North Pole of the new Dune (Is that Tupile?).

And, with most of the fleet away, nobody on Caladan notices a tiny black shuttle decend from space and land on a remote and deserted island. It is quickly buried in sand and vegitation, and the mysterious people on board silently make for the mainland in the boat they brought with them.
