Well, my pal and I got into a discussion over his win, an easy one so he says - like he was playing with a noooooob.

Picture the scene - Sandy Pass map (2 player) QM setts. The loser responded by saying the map was a turtle.

I dont dwell too much into what was said and who, but this is laughable as the loser is the leader of a so-called prestigeous clan - not that I think it is but your responses would be gratefully received.

Do you know that expression?

;)

i guess it could mean:

- That the map could dive under water and hold it's breath a long long time.

- People cook soup of this map

- This map is imported from excotic Islands.

- This map can only be played when a heatlamp is on it.

;D rofl good 1 darkkavu7 ;D

I think 'turtle' means what the animal does when it is defending and gets in its shield, so it cant be harmed.

So if u put this in Emp words, it means a player is sitting on hes spice and defending hes base.

If i am correct, then i think bigger maps are better to turtle ???

Well i could be wrong, so i await replies ;)

Well a turtler is usually atreides (although ord is pretty good at i to as i saw in a qm yesterday) cuz u can easily make a solid defense with atr.

A turtler usually makes a good defense at his base and at his spicefield. And as soon as he has them secure he will advance very slowly securing part by part of the map.

Games like this last for hours and i dont really like these games, but thats probably why i play hark.

it probably is related to the tactic that was used by the Roman soldiers.

Although I cant really see any direct correlations this seems the most logical conclusion.
