The Harkonnen Gunships twice as powerful as the Atreidies Ornithopters, they're weak and not worth the high price.

Who uses the Ornithopters? If you like air-strikes, wouldn't the Gunship be more effective?

If anyone really uses Ornithopters occationally, post some strategies here.

Drones Drones, again !! You think a Gunship could kill an Air-Drone first or an Air-Drone could kill a Gunship first? If you think an Air-Drone could first, think again.

Gunships will only need 1 hit to destroy an Air-Drone while the Drone will take HEAPS!

Yes they can. And its easy to take out like 2-3 gunships with a (much faster) drone.

I'm sure 1 Gunship will own 2 Air-Drone, not sure about 3.

I don't like the air units in dune, never use them. Except the harkonnen air defense platform, when I have got much money ;D

Besides aerial defence unit(excluding ADP) and carryalls(both), i rarely build any aerial attack force, or maybe Gunshisp would be an exception when the economy always me to.

You can do the same thing with Ornithopters as with Gunships. Build an airstrike and attack. The problem is that you need more thopters then Gunships in this case. But thopters build quicker. But still the Gunship is better. But that doesn't say that thopters are bad...

im a good atreides player.... i think... o well i tend to use to atreides jet more and more often now.. since no one suspects an atreides air attack ( exept for air drones)

They tend to come in very handy sometimes to take stuff thats in your way like that starting cobra thats well possitionent or that missle tank even to take out 1 or 2 power can slow down a base and distract the player enought to make an engi drop pn the other side

Whatever you could do with 10 'thopers and helipads, you could do twice the damage if the 10 'thopters are changed to Gunships, but you need twice the time, because of the Gunships are twice as slow !!

Well gunships own ordos, if u come in with like 20 gunships (which u could have real fast with 3 hangers) theres nothing ordos can do anymore.

Just make sure theres one gunship flying infront not attacking anything but just flying over the base clearing the way by making all the mines explode and distracting all the AA fire.

Buy the time you have 20 Gunships, I'm more than confident i could have built 100 AA trooper, 20 AA mine and 20 APC's.

Much more than enough to wipe 20 Gunships.

pff c'mon, orni's are very effective. 1. they are fast, 2 they can be repaired, 3 they look better than gunships :)

You are really out of your mind, speed wouldn't help them much since they're going to hover while attacking, I'll doubt you have a chance to repair them because only 1/100 of 'thopters will return without losing their wing.
