140 million years!

In 1930's in London (Texas village) was found a prehistoric hammer. Bad word, "prehistoric". It was found in earth aged by experts for 140 million years! What's more bizzare, the hammer was aged for "only" 70 years, what's still in era of dinosaurs.

And if you knew composition of it... Hammerhead is composed by 96% pure Fe, 2% S and less than 1% of Cl and Si. No carbon. It was counted, that to make this we need a pressure of 2 atmospheres. Even in these times we have no technology which can make it. How could it be done before millions of years? Hand is composed by ashed wood in stoned.

There aren't much possibilities to false it, so there are only these solutions of this phenomenon.

1. Hammer has been (or better WILL be) created in future and sent to 140 million-year past and hidden in jungle.

2. Hammer is an artifact of native or alien inteligent race, which lived on Earth before mankind or had been here on a scientifical expedition.

3. Hammer has been created by humans. I have to describe more this solution:

3a. Evolution is nonsense. Everything was created in a short time. Man had developed a great culture able to make 96% pure iron, made that hammer and after some time this culture vanished by catastrophe.

3b. We can't precisely count age of earth. Human culture able to make 96% pure iron made this hammer before for example not 140 000 000 but 14 000 years. As in 3a point, this culture perished.

kind of like the story of the prehistoric man the found in the mountains near Switzerland... They thinked that it was a real prehistoric man frozen in a giant cube of ice...

But, sometimes after, a woman came and identified that man being is grand father, who they had no news about after he went taking a walk in the mountain... ;)

still, I like the idea of a hammer being projected in the past from a future to accelerate evolution :P

Almost all occurences of findings that seemingly disprove evolution *or they try to* are falsified and considered hoaxes. And it isn't surprising, but I have a question - who discovered it, where, when? And to say evolution is nonsense is really vague, you may be talking more about macroevolution which is still yet a theory.

well not even radioactive things can ruin carbon dating. Natural occurances can too if its harsh enough. Oh and there were many cases of fossils found that were missing links but were put there by scientists. it goes both ways.

there is no way any of your teories is possible..

But I like the idea about alien artifact ;)

although my opinion is that we are the only inteliigent race that has reached this far. cos our galaxy is one of the oldest, and there is almost none inhabitable solar systems in our galaxy, or very few. Alpha Centauri is one possibility, but they would have reached us by now. Just a though

When they had digged it out, little accident scratched that hammerhead. After 70 years, there is still no corosion. Also, no one knows, what is purpose of chlor in head's metal.

We can measure things like red shift and so composition of our stars, to tll us which generation of star they are by the elements they contain.

Doppler effect - for a moving object, waves in front become higer freq, while behind become lower freq. Hence light from stars moving very quickly away from us is pushed to the red end of the spectrum, as asre the imperfections in the light denoting the presence of certain elements of whose spectral positions we are aware.

Big Bang is only an invention of human because they cannot stand (or just imagine) the fact that something CAN never had a beggining and a end.

Or maybe the Big Bang is the beginning of another universe but also the end of the collapse of another universe, and then ours will collapse after expanding so much and a new one will form. That also suggests there is no beginning or end.

Our galaxy is one of the largest known, and it "eats" other smaller galaxies. maybe an alien race in another galaxy destroys our galaxy, cos it threatenes their existense...
