Devastator_Mech
The Elite has a quicker ROF, so i'll prefer the Elites, but the problem is the building time and cost.........
IxianMace
Well NAIB tanks cost 2000 solaris and take some time to build. Even 1 Sarduakar Elite can damage a NAIB tank 1 on 1 if the NAIB tank just stood there and fought. But even if the NAIB tank retreated, reloaded and kept on attacking the Sarduakar Elite, the NAIB tank would still get significantly damaged, just from one Sarduakar Elite unit. Of course to effectively ward off NAIB tank attacks, more Sarduakar will be required.
Devastator_Mech
Obviously, that applies to everything. But the biggest problem is time. I'll take quites some time to build an Elite even you have 3 barracks.

Devastator_Mech
well of corz a missile will lose, but 2 or 3 Elites or troopers or any anti-tank infantry won't lose
Apollyon
yes but the niab can easily run away from infantry with its enormous speed =)
Devastator_Mech
Elites are quite fast too.
Apollyon
yes but nuthin like as fast as niabsand besides niabs can always fold space back to base
Devastator_Mech
But it'll delay after each teleport.....
Apollyon
yes but if u teleport it into your *base* then it will be relatively safe (unless you are completely retarded and cannot defend properly)
Devastator_Mech
I mean once your NIAB is in the enemy base, they're already being attacked.
Apollyon
well, yes, of course.unless u use loads of niabs (expensive)or uve already weakened your opponent enough to produce gaps in his/her defence.
Devastator_Mech
Units could always move towards it.......
Apollyon
yes but if u time your attack well the enemy could well be busy with attacking or micromanaging elsewhere and wont notice until ur niabs attack =)
Devastator_Mech
Well a smart player will usually leave a few Fredaykins and Fremens at the back of the base.
Apollyon
well yes but not if theyve already had to use them against a near fatal attack
Devastator_Mech
Then the player have lost already, with such weak defence the NIAB tanks shall be invincible and could roam throught his/her base. But how could you launch such a devastating attack and also have such a NIAB force? Most player should be ready for it when you have such a force.

Apollyon
not really, noand besides players often dont have the economy to keep feydakins at the back of their baseor they are overconfident and use them in an attack

Navaros
Anna your problem is that you have no idea how to play Emperor. It is very evident from the posts you make. You are in the same boat as many who post in the Emperor Strategy forum - no clue what you are talking about. In fact, your posts are actually counter-productive because newbies who read your advice and take it are gonna be handicapping themselves because of it.You really should get a lot more experience playing Emperor online before posting here. That goes for a lot of the other people who post in this Forum, too.
Elite47
Barron, anna and whoever else who isn't very smart and has never played online emperor...man duh a NIAB will lose to infantry like sards or feds, troopers etc... duh! so will laser tanks, advanced carrials.ornithopters,ix projectors, your own NIABS,deviators, devatstators, sonic tanks, mongeese etc etc etc... omg there are lots of counters. But then again the mino is an 'uber' unit, which is very strong... but Niabs, feds, other minos, mongeese, missle tanks, assault tanks, advanced carrials, gunships, sard elites etc ... they're all good up against a mino too! does that mean its weak and sucks? NO!There is no doubt about it the NIAB is the most stacked unit in teh game and the most powerful. they can warp in a base take out a key structure and then telport to an enemy spice field when in danger.back and forth yada yada and its easy for the Naib to do because its fast enhough to dodge most attacks and can teleport out. If close to dying retreat it to your base and let it heal with self repair. deviators and NIAB tanks are the best counters to a hoard of minos and you say they suck. So when facing mass minos the only real good counter would be deviators(which only ordos has) if the Niab tank was gone. So it doesnt suck, You suck. you are a n00b and if you'd like to challenge me sometime Id' love to whoop you ass using guild, or not using guild. Devastator_Mech
I say NIAB suck is because it could be countered by much cheaper units, which most unit wouldn't be the case, i say its not useful is because of its price and the use of it isn't equivalent at ALL.The NIAB delays after every teleport and shall be harmless in the first 10 or 20sec(abt) and thats your chance + it has a very slow rate of fire. Just keep a resonal amount of anti-tank infantry at the back, and the NIAB tank operator wouldn't dare to even touch the Fold Space Generator. And for this part: But then again the mino is an 'uber' unit, which is very strong... but Niabs, feds, other minos, mongeese, missle tanks, assault tanks, advanced carrials, gunships, sard elites etc ... they're all good up against a mino too! does that mean its weak ? NO!Mino vs mino=both die, Mino vs mongoose=mongoose dead, NIAB cost more so it does count, Fredaykins=yes(but if no stealth.....), missile tank cost the same, assault=yes(thats one of the very few units which could destroy a mino thats but cost less than it), carryall cost more gunship is same with assault, and i'll doubt a sard elite could kill a mino.
