Chat Channel?

will there be a chat channel in the near future? no one ever goes to the chat thingy in Emp online. i can never find anyone with KH2....

I had an awful experience at the WOL chat channel in Emperor not too long ago, and now I'm never going to use it again. It really sucks. Hardly anyone goes there anyway, (if at all anyone goes there). ::)

Why do you guys keep telling people to go to the chat channel if their bored? Do you think it's fun to talk to people who are boring I think not. :-X

mIRC is probably the best IRC client available, although I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with me about that...lol.

Anyway, find, download and install mIRC, then find one of the the Quakenet servers somewhere in the server list. Enter in an email address and a nick, then connect.

After a few seconds of stuff that won't make much sense scrolling along the status window, type "/join #fed2k" without the "'s and ta'da! You're there!

I opened the Quakenet thing in Trillains IRC but didnt know where to type /join #fed2k/i] at I tried the get list thingy but I didnt see fed2k in there.... is it not possible to sign on thru Trillians IRC or am I just doing someting wrong? :-

Yes, but it is a small problem. DjCiD when open the list (channel list) you might have to add #fed2k to the already existing list of channels. With some different versions of the IRC program you have to make a list of channels meaning that the list of channels is empty and you have to add your own choices of channels.

With Trillian, after you've connected to Quakenet, you just click on the IRC icon, the little swirly yellow thing, and click "Join Channel...", then type #fed2k into the little box that appears. Trillian's my fav chat thing, I just wish it allowed ICQ chat.

ICQ instant messaging works fine, but to chat, ie; hit a name, move down the list to "send chat request" or whatever, and type in real-time, it's unavailable, or at least in my version it is.
